In summary

Willow Creek Golf Course is appreciated for its scenic layout, challenging holes, and friendly staff, with some visitors finding it a good value for the quality offered. However, there are recurring complaints about the geofencing system in the golf carts, which many find frustrating and disruptive, as well as concerns about course maintenance and pricing. While some enjoy the overall experience, others feel that the course conditions and customer service do not justify the cost.

The whiteboard is between the pro shop and the door to access the course. Judging from reviews posted Friday I was not the only one getting the clear message of my value as a member. Several other reviews point to the pain point created by the installation of GPS geofencing several months ago that still could use some fine tuning. Most who play the course frequently know the points on the cart path where it is best to avoid the irritation of the system by steering around it. It is also best to ignore the traditional signage for returning to the cart path from the fairway because the geofencing…

We had a golf tournament for work with 4 teams and somehow they doubled booked our spot. They worked us in and it all worked out. Good breakfast sandwiches too. Fun day and my team won. 🏆

$70 to spend half the round with the cart barking at us to get on the care path despite never leaving the cart path? Then the Bev cart attendant refusing to turn around to meet us at the next tee box so we could purchase drinks.... This round could have been better. My photo is were the cart finally stopped barking at us because "we were on the cart path".

Course was in great shape, but $40 to walk 9 at 5 pm is ridiculous. The guy in the shop and ranger even agreed. They claimed the owner (or pro, not sure which) is doing it to prevent walking on the weekends. Preventing business doesn’t sound like a great business model to me.

Willow Creek Golf Club Greer, SC As we near the end of winter, we're on the hunt for a fun nearby course. Winner, winner, chicken dinner! This fun and challenging 18-hole layout winds around a neighborhood on the outskirts of Greenville, SC. Designed by Tom Jackson, this little treat allows for target golf and full throttle shots. A couple of years back, they renovated the greens, making them much harder to hold longer iron shots. The greens roll true, but as mentioned before, they are much firmer now. When the wind blows, this course tends to play a little harder due to a few holes being expo…

Disappointing Experience for the Price I was really looking forward to playing Willow Creek, but the experience fell short. The course was in poor condition — fairways were patchy, several greens were damaged, and overall maintenance seemed neglected. For $70, I expected a much better playing surface. What made matters worse was the check-in experience. I had booked online, and instead of a friendly greeting, I was met with attitude from the staff member, as if using their own online system was a hassle for him. At that price point, both the course and the customer service should be far bet…

Ladies and gentlemen, it's dad again. I had the pleasure of teeing off at the Willow Creek Golf Course in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and let me tell you, it was a hole-in-one experience. This course has everything a golfer could want, from challenging holes to stunning views. Now, before we get into the specifics, I have to throw in a few dad jokes about golf. You know, the ones about how "the best way to improve your golf game is to play with someone who's better than you" or "why did the golfer wear two pairs of pants? In case he got a hole in one!" Okay, okay, I'll stop now. Let's get ba…

This course is a neighborhood they stuck a golf course in. Every hole has houses lining a fair way with trees overhanging. One of the worst course set ups I’ve ever seen. On top of that the carts are not setup correctly so sitting on the cart path the cart will beep saying it’s in a restricted area and force you to reverse. I called the club house to let them know and they talked to me like I was idiot and said when I was in the red area to reverse back. I tried to tell them I’m sitting on the cart path and talked to me like I was stupid and didn’t now how gps worked. So on every hole you have…

The golf carts are not programmed correctly or the geofence was haphazardly set up. This led to the golf carts beeping for over half the round while they were on the concrete cart path. When we called to ask how to silence the cart or turn off the beeping we received a lesson on how GPS works and told to “not go into the geofence”. We explained the situation again and no change, I would avoid this course due to the the carts beeping non stop.

Overpriced golf course I hadn’t played it in over a year but what they charge $75 dollars it’s worth it at this time but if they can get it go for it No maintenance on the sand traps and the green where not smooth again not worth the money at this time should be charging a cheaper rate with the conditions it’s in
