In summary

Legend Trail Golf Club is frequently praised for its challenging layout, beautiful scenery, and well-maintained course conditions, making it a popular choice for golfers looking to test their skills. The staff is generally described as friendly and the facilities, including the practice areas and restaurant, receive positive feedback. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the pace of play management and the perceived pressure from course marshals, as well as concerns about the cost relative to the experience provided.

Overall, a great first experience. Club house attendants and club drop folks were very friendly. Challenging course but a lot of fun. Some dry spots on the fairways and such, but overall course is in good shape. Somewhat moderately priced. (Round in April 2025)

It was a great round of golf. Very challenging. A place to come and try to hone your golf skills. I will be back. Beautiful location and back drops. Many tee off pics taken! The only thing is maybe a bottle or two of water would be good. And eventually GPS on the carts would be good too. I used my personal one. So it was fine.... Otherwise great. Great rangers and friendly folks .. Daniel C. Scottsdale

Great condition in-season play. Chipping and putting greens with many holes to practice. Grass driving range. Proshop, food and beverage, and facility are very opulent. Maybe some more options for energy drinks might be nice. Tough course, very tight. Total difference between playing in the fairway or not playing in desert surroundings. You must hit the fairway. Some difficult teaser par fours that I would totally play differently next time I come. Gorgeous views and wildlife all throughout the course were exciting to see. There were a lot of elevation changes throughout the course. Ranger w…

DO NOT PLAY HERE. We paid nearly $700 for my wife and me to play 18 holes, and the experience was unacceptable. The course ranger repeatedly harassed our group to speed up, despite the fact that on 15 of the 18 holes we waited more than five minutes just to tee off. Pace of play was clearly not our issue. The ranger made the automatic assumption that because there were women in our group, they were the problem. That bias was both obvious and unacceptable. The real issue is an overbooked course with poor course management. There is a clear lack of technology or situational awareness to under…

Really enjoyed a round here in early April. Target golf at its finest. Most holes require a carry off the tee to tight fairways. Precision is the name of the game. Tee to green the condition was fantastic. We booked ahead and paid onsite, however I looked online after the round and it appeared cheaper to book via website.

I love the location and the course is quite fun and challenging. The green were in good shape but the rough is dead so it makes for tough shots if not in the fairway. We teed off in the afternoon and the rangers disappeared leaving us behind a slow group and unable to finish the round, which we definitely should have finished. The $5 water fee is laughable, for a course in AZ?? Who does this? Legend trail does. The staff at the pro shop really don't seem to care and have a bad attitude. The tee markers are very tough to tell what color is what. I had no pencil on the cart to keep score and no…

We showed up 45 minutes before our tee time. The cart crew is sitting in parked carts smoking cigarettes. We go inside to check in and the guy behind the counter couldn't get us out of the pro shop fast enough. Not sure why he was pushing us so hard, we had plenty of time to hit some balls and the the putting green. The starter asks us what our tee time is so we tell him 7:57. He comes back a few minutes later and tells us we're on the box and we need to get going. I don't know if the group before us didn't show up or what but we tee off at 7:49 and the group ahead of us was already finishing…

I was extremely impressed with everything. Pro Shop staff was so friendly. Course was in incredible shape with fast greens. Practice facility gets 5 stars as well. I saw wildlife from Javalinas to Mule Deer which enhanced the experience of the round. I highly recommend Legend Trail. Didn't stay to eat but the restaurant menu looked really good with a good choice of craft beers.

The course was nice. It has an open tee sheet which means it wasn't super busy. But, the course Marshalls were beyond pushy. "you're 3 min behind" was what we kept hearing the entire round through 14 holes. That wasn't just one Marshall but 2. We had a group of 7 golfers with back to back tee boxes which means over $700 of tee times filled and this is the experience we were given. The course is nice. Decently kept. But from hole 4 until the end we were rushed and pushed the entire time. Maybe it's because we aren't members but we paid for an experience and this wasn't what we expected. So if y…

Top 5 Golf course of the 60 courses I’ve played around the Valley. Great layout, greens are pure. Fairways and rough is ideal. Truly a beautiful golf course and I highly recommend playing this when you’re looking for a great course to challenge your game.

Just played this morning, for the 1st time. Absolutely fantastic course. Great conditions. Spectacular views. We come out here every year. This will be added to the “must play” list. Friendliest staff we’ve seen also.
