The Boulders Golf Club

Playing there first time a couple years ago in January. Despite a bit overcast weather, we enjoyed the layout & the view around the Boulders. For sure will play this course again next visit to arizona.

The Boulders is pure desert golf. Big rocks, tight lines, fast greens, and unreal views. Challenging but fair. Bring your “A” game and lots of water. Worth the trip.

I felt deceived by the person at the pro shop when I checked in. He informed me that my total for the day was $329, and I proceeded to provide my credit card. However, later, I discovered that he had charged $392 to my card. This course certainly didn’t justify the $392 fee, and I will never return. The experience was unmemorable, with the first three holes being dogleg right and having a weird design. The conditions were okay, but I had expected better during peak season and for premium green fees. Additionally, there was no marshal, and the round lasted over five hours.

Fantastic experience here, we actually liked it best out of all the courses we played this weekend (wekapo, grayhawk, wildfire). Beautiful desert scenery all around you as you play, well designed and challenging holes, and good staff. Was very appreciative to the marshal who found my lost range finder 🫡 Just a great time here

One of my fav’s. I personally love the South Course. Great challenge, views, etc. Pricey but premium golf for sure!

Played Boulders South Golf Course and had the most enjoyable round. The course is challenging but forgiving. The course was in good condition but the greens were a bit disappointing since it appears they were punched recently. The staff was friendly and the amenities were nice but aimed for resort guests more than golf guests. Would definitely play again.

Very, very beautiful resort in a very beautiful location. Casitas & Haciendas are tucked into the landscape surrounding a gorgeous golf course. Giant boulders in unusual, stacked positions surround the entire resort. Peaceful grounds with a host of birds pleasantly sing out. I loved The Grill restaurant. Best of all, I think they have the friendliest staff I've encountered in the many, many resorts I've visited. It's a little ways north from Scottsdale, but worth the drive. 5 stars in my opinion.

Me and 3 friends just played The Boulders this past Sunday. We had called ahead before booking the tee time to check the condition of the course. We really wanted to make sure the greens were in good shape. We were told the golf course was in excellent condition. The course from tee to green was in excellent condition, but the greens were dead. We payed a $289 green fee, and I feel ripped off.

South Course. A beautiful setting. However, once again, the greens are a disaster. They were just “redone” 2 or 3 years ago. How can a resort course of this caliber have greens that are substandard to a muni course? Very disappointing. Tees through the fairways are in good shape. At any price point, the greens are unacceptable.

I'll start by saying I'm a 4 handicap, played from the tips. I was excited to play this course as it looked fun and challenging. Definitely a course you need to play a couple times to know where to hit it with multiple blind shots or tight dog legs. Not worth the $380. Greens were good for me however they appeared to be in rough condition as I did play in mid February. Mixed conditions throughout the course. Some areas were unplayable and others were great. I won't be back, there's plenty of good AZ golf.

So many other places to play in the valley that are entirely better. When we played 10 years ago the course was immaculate. $300 for today and you would expect pristine conditions but the greens were atrocious. Different types of grass growing and extremely bumpy. The greens at my local courses that are currently $50 a round are 10x better. On the lone bright side, the tee boxes/fairways were in good shape.
