In summary

Legends Country Club offers a dining experience that many find enjoyable, particularly praising the buffet for its variety and value, along with commendable service and pleasant views. The golf course receives mixed feedback; while some appreciate its unique layout and ongoing improvements, others express dissatisfaction with the maintenance of the greens and driving range, as well as occasional staff issues. Despite these challenges, the club's atmosphere and setting are generally well-regarded.

Probably the best buffet for the price you will find now days. It was just under 20bucks, catfish, sirlions', jalapeño poppers, sides and a salad bar. Eventhough it was a buffet, the food was excellent and fresh. Highly recommend. They have a regular menu to order from as well.

I went there yesterday for the dinner buffet. I was surprised. It is like a hidden spot. Foods were good. Staff were nice. I definitely will comeback. It is nice to see the golf view and enjoying the dinner.

Small golf course in Stephenville. I went out to the driving range to hit some balls around. I had a pretty good time. However! I wanted to go first thing in the morning, and the way the driving range is set up, the sun shines directly into your face! I couldn't see anything. I guess I'll have to go in the evenings.

Greens are fair. Front 9 play is around houses and narrow, back 9 is wide open and in a old pasture. Driving range is poor, no markers or yardage sign. They did get new range balls recently but usually come covered in grass and dirt. Good drink prices. Need 4x4 to get in and out of parking lot, lol. Overall C+

Food is great! Abby was a great server and did a great job. Definitely one of the top 3 places to eat in Stephenville in my book.

We were really looking forward to a relaxing round of golf, but unfortunately, the experience was ruined by an overzealous and rude golf marshal. Our group had 3 carts (which we were never told was an issue when checking in), and despite the course being wide open behind us—and even letting a group play through—the marshal followed us for two holes just to tell us we couldn’t have three carts. He was unnecessarily aggressive and completely out of line. To make matters worse, we had to skip a hole because the delay caused people to catch up to us. Very disappointing experience. We’ve played at…

Apparently, after 11:30 good luck getting anything meat related off the buffet. Beer is the same temperature as bath water. Truly not impressed. Was much better as zjs in gorman.

Wide open course. They are putting in the work to fix it up, but disrespectful mower guy just kills the work being done,

Went for the steak they were to have on the buffet line and 2hrs before they stopped they never made more. One steak in 2hrs, not cool. There was 4 of us and we all waited for steak which never came after they said they were making more.

This course was incredibly fun to play. Fairways and greens were in good condition. It’s not like the fully curated courses in DFW. It looks, plays, and feels a bit wild. In this case, wild is a great thing. The greens are small and challenging to hit. Tee shots should be planned well to avoid the awesome big trees that line the course. Legends is like no other course I have ever played and I want to go back over and over again.

Very promising restaurant but not quite there yet. Waitresses and management is great but food quality is hit or miss. Atmosphere is just better than a dive.
