A fantastic and challenging public course that punches above its weight. The fairways were in excellent condition, and the greens were surprisingly fast and true. Great variety in hole design—the par-3 over water on the back nine is both beautiful and nerve-wracking! Excellent value for the price. The staff in the pro shop were friendly. It's a must-play for any golfer in the area looking for a solid, well-kept test of their game without the country club price tag.

A decent track especially for small town Iowa. Greens are challenging, fairways can be firm and dry out but the course is kept in decent shape. Pretty straight forward course, you will have fun playing it.

Fairly good shape especially the greens and the bunkers. Tees and fairways need some TLC and care, but otherwise fairly solid course.

Small town golf at it's finest. If you come here expecting a country club experience, you are doing it wrong. Great rates, fun course, staff is nice and welcoming. Since moving to the area, we've made this a regular place to golf.

This hidden jewel is worth a trip to play. Beautifully designed and well maintained you will enjoy this course. The greens are in perfect condition and run on the fast side with some tricky pin placements making them very interesting. There are several sets of tees on each hole so you are sure to find the right one for your skill level. Drinks, snacks, and sandwiches all at fair prices and free popcorn are available at the cozy clubhouse.

The course is in good shape and played fast. The person working, Angie, was very helpful. The course layout is a little weird so keep an eye on where you're going. Good course at a great price.

Fun small town Iowa course that offers 18 holes. Now a municipal course owned by State Center it is a well maintained affordable run. Few players during the week v. the weekend. Fairly long and rolling. Will use most of your sticks. Nice clubhouse and good staff. Play it and you'll most likely come back.

Seen this place a few times on my travels across the state. Decided to go out and play the course. It was well maintained and very reasonably priced for a weekend. Staff very friendly. I am not going to knock a star off, but there was a couple times the hole layout was a tad confusing, but we managed it fine. Surely, will return next spring.

This course is underrated, I play it all the time at it never gets old. Nice mix of difficult and easy holes. Staff is very relaxed and not uptight. Greens are 10/10.

Fun golf course with some challenging holes. Greens were in great shape with some fairways a little dry In response to Covid-19, good social distancing in the clubhouse with tables spread out. Also offered separate golf carts for an extra $5.00. The beer was cold, although only hot dogs & brats were the only sandwiches offerings. Give the golf course a try if you can

I love our beautiful golf course! People come from other towns to golf here and a lot are members! The course is a neat 18 hole adventure! It has just the right amount of hills and the greens are pretty smooth! State Center takes pride and welcome people from all over! My husband has been a member for years! You know that sign where it says, "if I die before my husband, please bury me on the golf course so he will visit me 5 times a week" If you know Jim this sign is funny! The staff is always ready to help and very friendly! It's just a neat place to relax and enjoy the awesome scenery God…
