In summary

Loch March Golf & Country Club is frequently praised for its beautiful and challenging course layout, lush fairways, and accommodating staff, making it a favorite among golfers in the Ottawa area. Many appreciate the well-maintained facilities and scenic setting, which provide a picturesque backdrop for both golf and events. However, some visitors have noted issues with mosquitoes, inconsistent course conditions such as standing water or hard bunkers, and occasional staff-related concerns, which can impact the overall experience.

I was married here in Summer 2024. Beautiful venue, so many lovely places for pictures, and not a lot of outdoor decoration was required because the place is already so naturally beautiful on its own. Great staff who were very responsive and helped us throughout the entire process, especially Alyssa and Christian. Food was nice too. Would totally get married here again.

Probably the nicest public course in the greater Ottawa area. Beautiful layout, fairways are so plush. Only negative is greens had some wear & tear. However, some greens very difficult (7 &16) which is not a negative.

Great course w great challenging layout. First time playing here and would readily revisit. Late fall round w lots of colour but also lots of staff removing fairway leaves was appreciated. Chris (GM?) was especially helpful in ensuring our satisfaction w an adjusted green fee due to booking issues... thanks Chris. Proshop staff are warm and friendly. Will be back in the spring to revisit the challenge.

Played at Loch March for the first time and the course did not disappoint. The course was in immaculate condition given the time of the year. The pace of play was really good for an early tee time and the course layout was pretty challenging. Will definitely play again when visiting Ottawa.

First, let me state that Loch March is a *Great* value course at $40-50, which is what our group paid for a Holiday Weekend twilight set of four groups. Alyssa from the front office was fantastic to deal with! The course itself is easily one of Golf North's top properties, and we returned this year by popular demand as our group enjoyed it so much last year. We found it unplayable due to the mosquitoes, which made a number of tee boxes (12, 14, 17) unbearable — two of our four groups decided to skip some of the final holes, despite the fact we all had bug spray. We played here last year, sam…

Course is in great shape however one temporary green. Layout of the course left me disappointed. Too many short par 4 doglegs and some really boring holes that feel like they were just plopped in. I won’t be back this year. EDIT 2023 Course is amazing shape and I’ve reconsidered my prior review. The track is setup with quite a bit of thought. It’s target golf at its best. Highly recommend.

This is my favourite course in the Ottawa area and it isn't even close. Five sets of tee boxes, so there's something for every handicap. They keep the course lush and in great shape. Some challenging holes mixed in with some great birdie opportunities. Some of the bunkers are a little shallow and could use a bit more sand, but other than that no complaints. They've also got a range and a large chipping/putting green, so if you get there early you can get a good warm up in before teeing off. Staff are all great. Highly recommended.

$100 round, on a Sunday, one of the busiest days of the week- standing water on the green. Unacceptable for a course like this.

Just played a round there today. Course is immaculate as always. We love the layout and course condition in general. But unfortunately our today's round was abruptly ended by a very rude marshal. Although there was plenty of daylight left to play he would insist that we wrap up the round while we were literally standing at 18th tee. We paid for the 18 holes and he wouldn't let us finish the last hole despite having enough daylight left. We found his attitude towards some really well mannered golfers very unreasonable and unacceptable. We played there a lot and was never faced with such rudenes…

Gorgeous course, and friendly staff. Definitely feels professional, maybe a little on the stuffy side. But the biggest thing, my god, it is probably the buggiest place on the entire planet. Break out the DEET!!!!!! Otherwise, tough course with lots of water, but well maintained and great facilities. Will return for a midday round next time, with hopefully less skitters!

Beautiful course with some long and challenging elevated greens. One of the nicest courses in the area with lots of trees, wildlife and lily pad laden ponds.

Played here yesterday, I thought the course was beautiful and super fun to play. It has its very challenging holes but plays fair. I thought it was a little pricy but worth it.
