In summary

The Marshes Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and excellent amenities, including a pro shop and practice facilities. Many visitors commend the friendly and professional staff, as well as the quality of the food and service at the clubhouse and Ironside Grill. However, some guests have experienced issues with course marshals being overly strict about pace of play, which detracted from their enjoyment. Additionally, a few visitors reported dissatisfaction with customer service regarding tee times and the ability to complete rounds.

Our group had a great time playing mini-putt (in Sept). The course was not too hard or too easy with water features, a creek, and a walkover bridge! Just enough challenge to be fun. The pickleball courts look amazing! We then had lunch at the beautiful Ironside Grill. Service was cheerful and attentive. My burger was perfectly seasoned and tasty. There is an outdoor patio with a great view! We will definitely play and visit again soon!

Great Stay&Play course!! Stayed at the Brookstreet Hotel and played the Marshes Course. Very nice pro shop and clubhouse, got all your golf needs before your round. Great practice facility with a large putting/chipping area. Course was in excellent condition for a wet weekend. Tee boxes are well groomed, fairways are in great condition (if you can find the fairways) Very challenging course (played from the Blue Tees).. lots of challenging Par 5s (almost unreachable in 2 on some) the par 4s are fairly long with tight approach shots and the par 3s are no cake walk! Will for sure be coming b…

The lovely gentleman checking us in and sending us off to the 1st hole really set a great tone for our 1st outing at The Marshes! The young guy at the cash in the clubhouse wasn't as welcoming. This course is well maintained and has a very nice design. We enjoyed our round thoroughly. The clubhouse lounge served excellent food and drinks, and the wait staff were very friendly and efficient.

With the assistance of the amazing Jenna Stokes we had the perfect wedding at The Marshes. Attentive to every detail and ensuring we were not overwhelmed, Jenna expertly guided us through the whole wedding experience, including a tasting months in advance of our special day. She was a real gift through the whole experience. The day of the wedding we had Alberto caring for our and our guests every need, especially the food which was phenomenal. Of particular note about Alberto and his staff, my cake lady contacted them in advance and they made special provisions for the care of our cake. She re…

Played early morning at The Marchwood, 9-hole par 3 course. This is a beautifully manicured course that is great practice for your short game. The course marshal was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful course and super fun to play. The greens were punched when we went but that’s just the timing I chose I suppose. The service wasn’t great but the beer cart lady was friendly and she came around a few times after we had to call it in. I’d love to come back when the greens aren’t punched.

I was planning to buy a membership here because the course itself is beautiful, but my experience with the Marshall completely changed my mind. Throughout the round, he kept rushing us and riding up on us, insisting we were holding up play. The issue is we weren’t slow at all.. we were waiting on the group in front of us multiple times. It was frustrating and really took away from the enjoyment of the game. If the course wants to attract and keep members, the staff need to pay closer attention to what’s actually happening on the course instead of unfairly pressuring groups that are playing at…

Went there yesterday...Let me preface this with, it costs 140$ to play a round here with a cart(fine with that). it was a rainy day, "cart path only" which is fair due to the conditions(does make the round take longer as you cant drive to each ball). We were playing our round when we got asked to speed up "No problem"....So we started playing a scramble best ball in 2 pairs of 2's. We got around to the back 9 when one of the marshals came up to us for the second time asking if we could skip a hole(had nobody behind us for the last hour+)....We asked why and he stated that there were groups wai…

I golfed The Marshes today on my sister’s birthday 🥳 Driving range has lots of spots and good flag positions. Greens, course, carts, tee boxes all I good condition. Friendly staff and play moved along great. Some stellar holes with water and sand traps all around on each whole. Interesting start as second hole is 1 handicap. Generous par 3s and great par 5’s. Staff are very friendly. If I lived in Ottawa I’d make this my home course. Above average clubhouse, restaurant and pro shop. Thanks 👍

Hosted a wedding reception here last week. The Marshes team made the planning effortless. They are a very professional and organized team. More than happy with the choice to host at The Marshes. Food was great, accommodated a wide range of allergies and preferences. Venue was clean and inviting for the guests. Access to stay at Brookstreet hotel for guests and the newly married couple was an added bonus.

I can't believe this was my first time photographing a wedding at The Marshes. I have fallen head over heels and it is now one of my favourite wedding venues in Ottawa. The atmosphere is great, the staff are all super helpful and friendly, and the grounds are beautiful for portraits! Came a second time for a Paint Nite event and loved it just as much.
