In summary

Golf Château Cartier offers a scenic and interesting course layout that is generally appreciated for its value and picturesque setting. The hotel and spa amenities receive positive feedback for their modern design and convenience. However, some visitors express concerns about course maintenance, outdated rental equipment, and inconsistent staff interactions, particularly regarding pace-of-play enforcement.

Great location, good value, interesting course that could use some additional TLC. Staff are friendly, course is playable regardless of skill, although is beat up in certain areas (especially tee boxes). Lots of Canada geese, including on a par 3! Carts are slow and antiquated (no gps), but decently priced. Location is very scenic and some neat undulations throughout the course. Beautiful and modern dining area for après golf drinks or more. The Groupon makes it a good enticement for me to return.

First few holes were not kept in great shape at all, I get its fall but to lose a ball in a pile of leaves on the fairway. I brought a friend who had no clubs. We told the pro shop someone didn’t have clubs and told the Marshall that aswell. Wasn’t until the first hole where they chased us down and said he had to pay 40$ to rent some terrible clubs *no other course i’ve been to does that* later on we see a group of 3 all sharing a bag of clubs so I guess some people get the slip. Would not recommend!

An average course that could have potential. Greens we're in okay condition but considering that it's in the middle of June you would expect them to be a little bit better. Course layout was a little confusing at times too.

It's ok. Cost my buddy $40 for rental clubs from the 80's and damage all over. The course it self is kinda neat but for sure not worth the money. Too many short par 3's. Also lay out is very odd, there are T boxes in fairways for other holes, lots of driving back to the t box after you've finished the previous hole

We stayed for our anniversary and included the Koena spa package. The room was very spacious and clean. The spa was incredible, and we skipped all the lines as hotel as hotel guest. We will definitely be returning.

Absolutely love this place, I have a great time every time I play here, the greens have come a long way, especially the riverside hole number 5. Great value for your money, and now that Gatineau golf club has destroyed its layout with the homes being built, this is by far the best public course in the area.

Not a great course, unfriendly staff, unforced rules towards other players and groups, unkept tee boxes and rough fairways. Not to mention driving range balls flying over you on the first and last holes. Wouldn’t recommend.

This review is for the golf course. I've played here a couple times this season cause 2 of my friends are members at the course. As a non-member, $39 with a cart after 5pm is hard to beat, so I can't complain about that and is one of the only things going for the place. Greens aren't the best and overall the course needs work, but it could be worse. The reason I'm leaving 2 stars though is the staff, specifically the woman at the front desk in the pro shop. Alex (the director) if you're reading this, please make a change of staff in the pro shop. Writing this review, I'm still shocked at the d…

Average experience, hardly worth referring to as a "resort" though. Rooms were spacious with good beds, however the house keeping was hit and miss, sometimes never showing up or missing things. The parking is atrocious, and parking staff for an off-site event tried to turn me down from parking in the hotel lots. Golf course was good value for the green fees, however the rental clubs are disgustingly overpriced at $40. Dented 1-2 decade old drivers and miss-matched iron sets being rented at the cost of multi-thousand demo sets.

Lots of Marshall pressure We came as a group of 16 for a friendly tournament (4 teams of 4), with many of us being new to golf. Unfortunately, we were met with a lot of pressure from some marshalls. Even though we played 18 holes in about 4.5 hours (started at noon on a Wednesday, finished around 4:30), we were told multiple times to speed up, and it felt like we were being watched the entire time. Especially the way one of the marshall spoke to us was unnecessary and took all the enjoyment out of the game. If the course can’t accommodate friendly tournaments or beginner groups without crea…

A+ HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We didn't do the spa thing but the hotel itself is WELL UP TO DATE - renovated, and well-designed. The rooms are specious. The staff is super friendly. It is a convenient for a valid price. Spa should be a bit cheaper for hotel guests or included at certain less busy moments but wtv, we will certainly be back for the Spa experience. GREAT! Unclear what all other reviews talking about? We had brand new Tile at the room and super clean, neat, all you need things for a stay.

Disappointing Experience Due to Marshall Pressure I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I felt this needed to be shared. I played at Cartier golf château with a group of four and had a 9:18 AM tee time. We finished our round at 1:10 PM — just under 4 hours, which is a completely reasonable pace for a foursome. Despite this, the course marshal came by multiple times to pressure us to speed up, simply because a twosome was behind us. What made it more frustrating is that we were consistently waiting on the group ahead of us, so it’s not like we were holding anyone up. Being rushed when…
