In summary

Madawaska Golf Club is frequently praised for its friendly and accommodating staff, affordable pricing, and well-maintained courses, making it an excellent choice for beginners and those looking to improve their short game. The club offers two courses, Sumac Grove and Twisted Pines, both of which provide good value and enjoyable play. However, some visitors have noted issues such as hard-packed fairways, outdated carts, and occasional slow pace of play, suggesting room for improvement in maintenance and course signage.

I’m a very new golfer and I sincerely appreciate everything about Madawaska Golf Course. Locally owned by Rick Munro, this club is run very well. The staff team are extremely friendly and always accommodating. Sumac is a par 3 and perfect for me to learn the sport and my clubs on. I can’t say enough good things about this club. Completely on the level.

5 star for being the cheapest course around! If you want a quick round, and do not want to spend a lot of money, this course is great. I played their par 61 course as I try to improve my short game.

We went at 4 pm for Twilight and it was nice and quiet as far as not being rushed etc. Twisted pines wasn't in bad shape. If you do go fo Twilight definitely bring your bug spray!

Good little course to have some fun. You gotta look at it as a scale of best courses you’ve played and this isn’t one of them. Fun, but has its flaws.

Nice course. Some fairways were very hard packed ground. A lot more distance than expected

STAFF: absolutely amazing super super nice people always friendly and helpful. PRICE: very good price you get a lot more for a lot less, I have played courses that cost 2x more and are way worse. The crew at madawaska take pride in this course and you can see it. MAINTINANCE: every time I come and I come often now, they are always working on the lawn, they change the cups around pretty often too which is always nice to see. It is not perfect but it is very good most of the time, they do quite well. LAYOUT: great layout I’m really happy with it. Not lost of elevation here but that also makes…

Decent course. Conditions were a bit iffy but playable. Course layout is good. Fair club house. Fun to play.

Decent place. Issue is that we paid full price for 18 and cart but cart couldn’t go passed hole 15. Not a big deal about the reasoning but would have been nice to have been told this while booking. Had to wait longer for players to drop cart off at lodge then walk back with cart. Worth full price? Meh 2/5 based on customer service.

I've played there on numerous occasions now on their Par 61 (Sumac). Amazing course to work on your short game and also has some driveable par 4. Their Par 70 (Twisted Pines) is also a great course and in very good shape. Staff at the front desk are always very friendly and helpful!

A great place to spend a day. The staff are all very friendly, the price is just right and the course is good. I'm a beginner golfer and while I know there are places with much more manicured courses this one is PERFECT for me to learn on. I think it's a great place to start as a new golfer, especially as it has a very welcoming atmosphere.
