In summary

Mainland Golf Course is appreciated for its challenging layout, scenic setting, and friendly staff, with particular praise for the bar and food service. The course is generally well-maintained, though some players have noted issues with sand traps and uneven tee boxes. However, there are recurring concerns about slow pace of play and overbooking, with some golfers experiencing significant delays and backups on the course.

This course was challenging but also a lot of fun for a beginner. Course is narrow, multiple times other golfers were venturing onto adjacent fairways to retrieve their balls. This course has cart girls and the drinks are strong so beware. Food at the bar was good, also has a building venue for weddings. Looked amazing with the leaves changing at the start of fall, will def go back.

edit: 9/22/2025: taking two stars due to course backups, starter issues In our most recent round, we pulled up to the first hole a few minutes prior to our tee time, and the starter - a teenage kid - didn't acknowledge us or even put his phone down. I didn't think much of it and said hello, and we talked briefly about the other groups that were going out. He mentioned there was a group behind us. Even though it was past their supposed tee time and we were ready to go, he had us wait a few minutes, and they showed up and ran to the tee box and teed off. Not a huge deal either. But he never got…

Nice course! Fun to play, and they even got us out there early! I’ll be back here for sure.

Mainland Golf Course was nice. The fairways were beautiful. The staff was friendly. The greens were a little long, but understandable due to time of the season. The sand traps need work. I’d definitely play the course again.

Nice layout, decently maintained Greens usually roll pretty good 👍. Most of my fellow golfers don't fix their ball marks though so I end up fixing at least 10 per hole. Fairways are ok Tee boxes need some love Most sand traps are terrible though 😢. A "simple" good raking would go a long way to improving them.

If this course stopped booking 6 minute tee times it’d be much appreciated, the average round will take you almost 6 hours while waiting 8 minutes between every shot. They need to have Marshalls expediting the slow players and minimize the tee time booking engines to eliminate this nonsense.

Well laid out course with ample hazards to avoid. Short clipped greens will challenge your putting skills.

Always a fun time at mainland. That said, a few notes for the course: There are maybe 4 solid bunkers here. I think they’re trying to fix them - but the ones they haven’t got to yet are closer to baseball fields than sand bunkers. One thing in the fairway, but awful close to the green. Mark as ground under repair so I don’t feel bad picking up! On hole 2 we encountered an older gentleman on a mower working the edges of the fairway. He graciously stopped the mower, let us hit, and then carried on. That is fantastic service, and in my opinion is almost an expectation — especially on an open Mo…

I was with a couple of my buddies and we couldn’t we couldn’t finish the entire 18 which is very unfortunate, we managed to finish 1.5 rounds of golf in 55 minutes… requested a refund but the manager Andrew refused which is his choice ultimately. He was very snarky, rude, condescending and made me feel like I wasn’t a human being… I would not recommend this course to anybody looking to enjoy a nice day of golf …do to the unprofessionalism and lack of respect this establishment has for its customers.

Course is crappy and way overbooked. At no point in this experience did I think this place is worth $75. I shot pretty good too just won’t come here again.

I play in the Tuesday night league here and think this is a great local course. The course isn’t particularly easy but I have a great time playing here multiple times a week. They have made many improvements this past year like fixing the bunkers on 5 of the 18 holes so far. I also think the greens and fairways are in great shape. The bar has a great staff, especially the bartender Sean and Jericho the Chef. The food is amazing and they have great beers on tap. We always visit before and after our round. I’ve never had a problem with the service and the atmosphere is always chill. I, person…

I called Mainland on a Wednesday to make a tee time for a group of 3 golfers the following Monday. I was told that even though tee times were available, their policy is to only give times to groups of 2 or 4 golfers and that I should call back over the weekend to try again. I've both worked and played at many courses in my life and have never encountered such a silly policy. How does it make sense to turn away a threesome? Does the management not realize that there are plenty of other courses in the area willing to accept 3 golfers? What a terrible business policy.
