Marion Military Institute Golf Course

I spent a year there back in ‘82. Cannot believe how much the facility has improved program has always been top-notch. But the addition of the fire and rescue and other RTC programs. My stepson is taking it lightly duck to water.

Yea the program seems by what I witnessed and heard is a pretty good one what I really like is that in the classrooms they would focus more on 1 on 1 teacher student time

My son is looking to attend the Air Force Academy and MMI came highly recommend! Our congressman had a service academy event and as we spoke with each one, they all had amazing things to say about MMI and how it prepared cadets to attend the academies. Everyone we have met at the school has our son’s best interest at heart and is focused on his success. This school has the backing of some super successful people and is one of the few options that the US government will also pay for sponsored prep for the academies. Highly recommend a visit if it is a school you are considering

My son will be attending Marion Military Institute (MMI) this fall under the SAP (Service Academy Program) as a non-sponsored cadet. Although he did not receive a congressional nomination during his senior year of high school, we now believe MMI offers the best path toward earning one. My son graduated from MMI May 25. We are so thankful for the experience. He was treated so well, and learned so much. I know His time there will help him in his future career.

Wonderful, historic school that well prepares future leaders. Great instructors that are invested in their student success.

My review was originally posted on Yelp years ago. My son referenced below has since graduated from Troy University and is in the National Guard. Original review: Do not go there if you want to be a LT. I've asked three mid-grade officers and one GO who graduated from there, none recommended it (too bad I talked to them after my son was already there). This is an awesome campus and it was awesome for my civil air patrol encampment for this past week! It was awesome with the library and the barracks and just the entire campus was very nicely held up and I love this place and plan on coming back to it next year!

While the teachers and advisors and most of the staff were really helpful and kind, the student body as a whole was awful. Along with hazing, no respect for recruits who just got there, and the cadre cursing and swearing all over the place; this place may have a reputation for being a "good" military college but it is tarnished every day by its own members. I rate one star only only for the faculty and staff who were so kind and helpful to me in the long run and will not be attending or recommending this college to anyone again.

My son went to MMI after high school through the Service Academy Program (SAP). He was Accepted to West Point after his first year and was VERY well prepared for his Plebe year. It was the best decision we could have made to prepare for a military academy!

My son attended MMI as a Service Academy Preparation student on a Falcon Scholarship from US Air Force Academy. We and I said we loved it! It is awesome. Good food, good structure, great teacher, unbelievable staff, very supportive schedule. Location is perfect, close enough but not busy. Military Instructors are world class - gives great guidance to the students with world wide/deployment experiences. Great school, they are always renovating to improve and they keep the school very clean. Has a great program for cadets wanting to join the military in the branch they desire. ECP program is very well done and they hold those cadets to high standards.
