Marriott's Desert Springs Resort is frequently praised for its lush, well-maintained grounds, spacious rooms, and wide range of amenities, including two enjoyable golf courses and a variety of dining options. The staff is generally noted for their friendliness and professionalism, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some guests have encountered issues with customer service responsiveness, room cleanliness, and noise disturbances, suggesting areas for improvement in these aspects.

Property is lush & well manicured. The rooms are spacious and great views if facing the pools. Employees at the resort need a refresher course in customer service. Our experience: 1st night we ordered room service and were promised it would be at our door in 45 minutes...it took double that time! When we questioned the timing we were told they were busy. I ordered a cheese quesadilla (because I'm a vegetarian) and it was delivered stuffed full of chicken! 4th night we ordered two pizzas from off-site...they were delivered to the front desk but the employees at the desk never alerted us of the…

Veronica provided beyond exceptional service throughout our stay. She was extremely friendly, welcoming, and always had a smile on her face — something that is not very common to see, especially in such high-traffic hotel areas. She also gave wonderful recommendations for hotel activities and made the experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend her for a management role. Her professionalism, positive attitude, and natural leadership skills truly stand out. Another reason I highly recommend this property is because of the amazing customer service and welcoming atmosphere that made…

Overall nice place. The room can be quite far from elevators and hard to navigate around. The bed is very comfortable. The housekeeping needs some improvement. Didn’t reset previous guest alarm (so it went off at 5am) and also didn’t change shampoo bottle (was empty). The pool water is comfortable but got some bugs floating around. The food is pretty good. And party space is beautiful.

We stayed at this resort to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary and this is my true and honest review. 10 out of 10!! The grounds are absolutely stunning with the best views! To be honest when we arrived it literally felt like we went to another country! You get the best of both worlds ( weather wise) when traveling in February. It was warm during sun up the cold at night AND you can travel 30 minutes to the tram and see snow!! I did have a mishap that was correct in literal MINUTES!! This is why I say 10 out of 10 because I understand that things will happen but it’s not so much about what…

Very nice appearance, nice grounds, good amenities, reasonable number of restaurants of 3 or 4 star quality. Staff variable quality for a luxury resort. Took me a few attempts to get my Bonvoy number on my booking. Comfortable bed. I had a room in the lobby area which was pretty noisy from the bar crowd. Would hope other rooms were less noisy. Probably will go back to La Quinta resort next year.

Had a recent business trip here. First time in Palm Springs. Hotel about 25 minutes from local airport. It is across from a good size shopping area with some restaurants and grocery store. The property is very nice as you would expect for a J.W. Several restaurants and very nice pool/spa area onsite which I didn’t use. I did have dinner and breakfast at Rockwood Grill and Fisherman’s Landing on site,Both meals were good and service was as well. There are 2 golf golf courses on site and I played the Palm Course. Nice course and pretty reasonable price for the area. I was surprised on rate as no…

An Unmatched Experience of Luxury and Convenience Our recent stay at the JW Marriott was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we checked in, we knew we were in for a world-class experience. If you are looking for a perfect blend of relaxation, activity, and accessibility, this is the place to be. The Accommodations The rooms are a true highlight. They are incredibly spacious, offering a level of comfort that is hard to find elsewhere. The bedding felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the thoughtful layout provided the perfect sanctuary to unwind after a day of exploring. World-Class Serv…

Beariful surroundings, mam made small decorative lake, the grounds well taken care off. They also have flamingos roaming. The hotel look nice , nice lobbies, pools, many different nooks to hangout in. My gripe ia with rooms. They feel a bit run down and not as clean. For the price you are paying this shoukd be top quality, but does not feel like it.

Overall Experience: 5/5 I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel, and I must say, everything was absolutely fantastic. From the stunning property to the impeccable service, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the hotel facilities were top-notch. I genuinely have no complaints when it comes to the hotel itself, everything was just perfect. One Small Annoyance: The only issue I had during my stay wasn’t directly related to the hotel’s quality or staff, but more about the situation we found ourselves in. While we were there, a ch…

I was deeply disturbed by the indoor “aviary” at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa. Many gorgeous tropical birds are kept in cages inside a room for guest viewing — flighted, intelligent animals confined indoors with no meaningful freedom. So sad. Not only does this conflict with widely accepted animal welfare standards, including the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare, and with guidance from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) on species-appropriate space and enrichment, but it is also especially troubling in California, a state with strong animal welfare expectations (includ…

After reading the other reviews, I'm wondering if we got them on an off week. We splurged for what we thought would be a 4 star experience. The property was gorgeous, however we went for a later night hot tub (8pm) and the area around it was littered with plastic cups, beer cans and used towels. The room towels were no different than a Courtyard Marriott grade, disappointing. There were a ton of kids, so we stopped by the adult only pool and noticed there is no drink/food service there. We paid 4 star prices and got a Groupon experience.

I did not stay at the resort, my review is for the Palms golf course. I played Feb 9 and I found the conditions poor in relation to the properties in the area. Of the 10 courses I played in the greater palm Springs area this was easily in the worst condition. The course in general seemed over watered and the greens were slow and bumpy. The course looks lush green, I'm sure it looks great looking out on it from your resort room but the golf course itself is not great.
