In summary

Mars Sandhills Resort is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, with many noting the positive impact of new ownership on the course's condition and overall experience. The layout is described as challenging, with well-maintained greens and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice among locals. However, some visitors have pointed out issues with dry fairways, outdated signage, and interior decor, suggesting room for improvement in these areas.

My husband and i golf this course weekly! Great course! Since the new owners took over, there has been tremendous improvements to the course and club house since the new owners have taken over. Of course with this years dry weather and very little rain, it has been hard on the course but that doesn’t take away from a great golf game. Keep up the great work Sue and Jerry, we always look forward to coming here.

Fairway grass are almost dead from hole #1 - 18. The only green grass are around leaky sprinklers and the resilient weeds. Greens are not too bad but annoyingly slow - no rolls.

Good long golf course, this course challenges you on the long par 3's and par 4's. A few patches of dead grass on the fairways. When we landed on those dead patches we just moved the ball on some grass. The greens were in excellent condition. We had a great time, will golf there again.

R E S P E C T !!!! We golf here every week, and i see the disrespect some golfers have for the efforts the owners put in every single day to provide us with an experience worth the effort. My respect to Jerry Sue & Cara keep doing what you do, and to the golfers , respect the greens don’t drive on them, repair your ball marks and divots, put garbage in the cans provided. Please help the owners provide a nice outing. Good golfing everyone.

I have golfed here before and enjoyed it. I golfed on Sunday august 2nd and the golf course was in awful shape. It was dry as a bone and the fairway was basically dirt. I understand that it hasn’t rained much, but I was still charged full rate. My other comment is that all signage should be redone. Everything looks faded and run down. The benches all feel like they are about to break. A few flowers or landscaping would be nice

Decent rural golf course. Long front nine. Challenging. Course conditions were sub-par. Fairway wasn't cut. Greens were nice, but also a little too shaggy. No food options. Cash only. Price is a little too high for what the course offers. I don't recommend it unless everywhere else nearby is booked up. Or, you have a coupon.

The staff were very accomadating. Greens were evenly green and beautiful.. A bit fast but in great shape. Tee boxes were clean, hardly any divots and no broken tees scattered. The fairways were lush and easy to drive on with the cart, wet but we had lots of rain prior to my visit. A bit challenging with narrow fairways, really long par 5's, a few water hazzards and sand traps( they were well groomed too ). Must do 18 as the 9th hole is at the furthest part of the course. Would definitely go again. Worth the drive out from Winnipeg.

I haven't been here in a few years and wow, I am impressed! With new ownership, the greens are in great shape, tee boxes are looking good, staff are extremely friendly. I will be back, soon!

Course was a tad dry for the time of year. Other than that, it was a good round of 18 for Sept. 3. Challenging enough. Restaurant at breakfast was superb 👌🏻! Oh, and the staff were very friendly and accomodating - will be back!

A diamond in the rough!! The management at the golf course graciously looked after our food, drink and golf cart requirements for our equestrian event! Yes, horses and golf did exist together during this one weekend in May 2018!Due to the dry conditions, there was a fire ban imposed in the province which meant we were unable to camp with our horses so the owner of the private property bordering the golf course allowed us to park our rigs there. We were so appreciative that the golf course agreed, as well. We wanted to show our appreciation in anyway possible. So instead of bringing in our own…

2/5 Fairways. Mostly brown grass with lots of weeds. Balls run forever though, so plan your shots accordingly. 3/5 Tee boxes. More than a few tee boxes were in rough shape or very uneven. Made it hard to find a good level spot. 4/5 Benches. Almost every tee box had a bench. Lost a point as they all looked ancient and might break if you sat on them. 1/5 Ball washes. No towels on the washer, no water in most of them. 4/5 Power carts. Decent gas carts. 4/5 Cart paths. Good paths all around. Not paved. 4/5 Price. Reasonable price on par with most other courses in the area. 2/5 forgiveness. 2 or th…
