In summary

The Meadows at East St. Paul Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging links-style layout, and friendly staff. Many golfers appreciate the course's open fairways and the opportunity to use their drivers extensively. However, some visitors have noted issues with the pace of play and occasional maintenance concerns, particularly due to potential future development plans.

This is a very nice links style golf course. Don't be fooled with the wide open fairways because this golf course is long and the greens are huge and none of them are flat. Add the rough and the bunkers, you better stay on the fairway or else. The greens here are always slippery all summer long and I have never played here where the greens are slow. IMO they have the best greens in Winnipeg for public golf courses.

of all days to golf, went on the windiest.. course is in very good shape -- challenging but fun.. play on the slow side but steady. . a little difficult to find our way in due to road construction.. definitely a course worth playing

So, overall this is a fun golf course. Some issues are addressed below: +Fun, links style course. +Great greens -They have no idea what pace of play is. Not a clue. Unfortunately, it's a public course that, because it's links-y, people think is easier than most Manitoba courses that are cut out of bush. It is not. It's a challenging course unless you're a relatively long hitter or play up (which 99% of people don't). -It starts with a long Par 5, a challenging Par 3, then the toughest Par 4 on the course. Things get jammed up right away. If it's busy, you're in for a long round and the mar…

Don't know where you were golfing, Tobie, but there's lots of water and some trees at The Meadows at East St. Paul. The fescue rough is also punishing if you get off the fairway. The fairways themselves are in great shape and the greens are fast with lots of breaks. This is a more challenging course than would appear from the highway, which is probably where you "played" from.

Links type golf course. We got totally rained out the first time so they gave us a raincheck. Our second time out was not much better as I will explain in a bit. The driving range is grass which is good as I hate hitting off mats. The course was in very nice shape. It's wide open and in Manitoba so wind is usually a factor. The round was somewhat ruined by the over abundance of wasps. Everyone in our three some had gotten stung. Word through the grapevine is that the course has been sold to developers to put up housing.

This is a great course. It saddens me that 2018 will likely be it's last year in operation. I'd give this course 5 stars but it was in a little bit of rough shape. I'd guess the owners don't want to invest money in repairs when it's going to be sold.

Only recommend or because of their prices. Basically just field with no waters or trees. Front desk was helpful on the other hand

Semi private. Is only 9 holes. A bit challenging, but not the hardest.
