In summary

Transcona Golf Club receives praise for its well-maintained greens, knowledgeable staff, and enjoyable dining experiences. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the course's condition, particularly areas under repair, and the high pricing relative to these conditions. Additionally, there are frequent mentions of slow pace of play and management issues, which detract from the overall experience for some golfers.

Polite and knowledgeable staff in the pro shop, thank you Griffin and Cam for your help. Restaurant staff was attentive and although I didn’t order food was happy to fill my water bottle, no hassle! From the practice greens to the course, very well maintained and manicured. I had a Marshall stop in the the third hole to pick up broken tees before my group shot, that doesn’t happen often! All tee boxes were well maintained and rotated regularly for play. The course itself had areas of repair, clearly marked which is nice to see. For the most part it’s in great shape and healthy! For. +15 this…

I refuse to play this course again without giving it a poor review. They have had the same ground under repair areas for at least 5 years. A little herbicide throughout the year wouldn’t hurt. For $80/round I have a hard time believing they can’t afford to put a little money into this joint. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the beverage cart was around enough to make my round somewhat enjoyable.

I can fully understand the turmoil of trying to keep up a golf course. I work at one, myself. There is a lot of work to get this course in shape. However, the greens are in decent shape. They are a little fast for my liking, but run well. There is a large dining area for the restaurant. It is probably used for large funtions/gatherings. The only reason we went was because of the gift card we had. To be honest, I doubt we will be back. To say it is a mediocre course is being generous, so I will be generous.

We went with a group from our apartment complex. Really enjoyed the meal and the portions that we received. The waitress was attentive to our needs and overall the experience was good. You can also enjoy watching the golfers and the wildlife there. If you have never been go while the course is still open and the weather is nice.

Avoid. Paid to play 18 holes, it took 3 HOURS to get through the front 9 which therefore didn’t allow me to play the full 18. Went to the pro shop hoping to be refunded and to be only charged for the front 9. The kid at the front that was not possible and there was no manager to talk to.

Growing up in Transcona and playing golf at TGC, I have genuinely seen this beautiful little gem in the heart of Transcona become this beautiful quaint affordable blue collar golf course, able to compete with some of the cities best. The greens are nothing short of spectacular and the men’s night on Thursdays, is one of the best golf leagues, I’ve heard out there.

The course was in decent shape for the early season, but nearly half of the tee boxes were closed. Considering that higher-quality courses in the area are only charging spring rates (25% less), the near $80 to ride was a bit of a surprise. This course is NEVER an $80 course, let alone in the spring.

Overpriced. No one maintaining pace of play. Groups of 5 or 6 all over the course. Was told because they are members, they can do what they want. As a paying customer, it was a really disappointing answer to a valid question.
