In summary

Mercer Public Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly ownership, wide-open layout, and well-defined fairways lined with mature trees, providing a relaxing atmosphere for golfers of all skill levels. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, including rough greens, unkempt tee boxes, and lack of cart paths, which detract from the overall experience. While the course offers a good opportunity for beginners, others feel it could benefit from improvements in upkeep to justify the pricing.

I'm a 29 year old guy that really tries to be respectful of the elderly. That said, I think the old lady behind the counter at this Mercer Golf Course face would crack if she ever smiled. Yes, she's been this horrible way other times to us. My playing partner & I wouldn't mind putting up with just that, but she was terribly mean when we even tried to buy some clubs this past Thursday & they had to have been sitting there a really long time! The course wasn't great, but it was good enough that I would have never left a negative review about it. I just don't like giving my hard earned money to s…

It’s not amazing but not bad. Great course to learn on as it’s normally not packed. Just a Bit pricey for what you get I feel. But none the less I’m sure I will be back.

I was truly surprised by this 18-hole course! The fairways are clearly defined, lined with tall, mature trees, and offer a fantastic mix of doglegs and straightaways that keep the game interesting. The fairway grass is wonderfully plush, providing excellent loft on my shots all day long. It’s a great experience for golfers of all skill levels. I highly recommend checking it out!

Coarse is not maintained at all it seems like. workers are not friendly greens are super rough and hardly able to put on there is no cart paths to show direction the only thing this coarse is good for is if you’ve never played golf before and are trying to learn because no body plays here because the place is outdated and not kept up with. Spring valley is 10 times better and not very far away.

List of things to take into consideration when thinking of playing here Carts: Very slow Fairways: Covered in lawn clippings Greens: Covered with patches of dirt and just absence of grass. Tee boxes: (My biggest issue) You can't tee off of them. The grass is too high. Price: $35 for a cart and 18. I understand that's the normal for courses around here on the weekends, but with the state of the course, it's not worth your money. And as much as I hate Spring Valley, you're better off there. Cart paths: Non existent. The only reason I gave it 2 starts instead of 1 is because it's family ow…

I really wanted to like this place.....just a little even. Mainly because I pass it to and from going to my cabin, would be very convenient. Been playing golf 30 years. It brings me no pleasure to say these things..... Worst Tee Boxes Worst Wannabe Fairways Worst Greens I have ever played!! Gave it 2 stars mainly because it is a family owned thing, and the owners seemed rather nice. Also, yardage at the course was a decent length. Price.

The carts are nice! But the free golf course at Buhl is kept better, greens are faster, fairways are nicer and tee boxes are well maintained. Dum dum is a good alternative being free and here is $16.00. I would probably drop the price.

Shouldn’t have to pay to play here when the free golf course 30 mins from here is 100x better than this everywhere is ground under repair absolute scam for 32$ only thing is the owner is nice

Green's a bit splotchy, very rough tree base unkempt. Will lose golf balls on some shots. You should not.

Perfect course. Good place to go unwind and hit a couple of provisional. Also the beer is cold and the carts are top notch.
