Mill Quarter Plantation is one of the most affordable public golf options in the Richmond area and is a lot of fun to play. This Ed Ault design features a longer layout with relatively narrow fairways and big greens making it player friendly and recording a good score attainable. The conditions of the course were decent for the time of year given the heavy rains and extreme heat the area faced earlier in the summer. What really makes this course shine is the staff and golfers who were very courteous and friendly which made my round all the more enjoyable.

This place was great a for a nice day of golf. The prices were good for a quick round. The clubhouse is definitely a little outdated but I didn’t mind. The cart girl was very nice and drinks were well priced. I was happy to find out they included ice for the cooler on your golf cart.

Visiting the area for the weekend and we decided to play this course. Easily one of the worst grounds keeping of any course I’ve played. $60 for 18 holes with tee times stacked on top of each other. We weren’t even warned that a couple holes had “fairway greens” because the actual green was messed up. No discount for that. There were many greens that were almost completely devoid of grass and it was just dirt. There were three tee boxes that had the sprinklers running on them during the round. This course is at max worth $30 for a round but because they are the only course around they charge t…

Was able to affordably book a last minute tee time for early morning, which was awesome. First time playing this course and it is in great shape at the moment. I’m used to faster greens. These are relatively slow but roll true and are in fine shape. Friendly staff from checkin at the Proshop and getting a cart, to the Marshall and the beverage cart. Definitely will be back!

We held a fundraiser here. Facility was good, staff was good, and the area was decent. Overall extremely happy with the facility and staff assisting us. Thank you to Mills Quarter Plantation Golf for having us.

The greens are in great shape, the fairways will come in with this warm weather.

One of the few places where I can putt for a birdie occasionally. The course is usually in great shape and the people are friendly and laid back. Plus, it doesn't cost an arm and leg to play on the weekend.

Well, it's been about 10 years or so and the only things that were always a challenge were thin bunkers and some fairways would be too wet or too dry for the rounds...maybe its the same, idk...⛳️

Course and staff were great. We had a group of three and booked Sunday morning 10:32 tee time. We arrived early to warm up and noticed a long line of carts at the first hole. Come to find out from several staff, the association members booked the five tee times before us and showed up with 8 groups of four. The club allowed all eight to go out pushing our tee time back almost 40 minutes. Apparently this is a common thing and I was told not to play on Sundays and Mondays. I support membership with clubs but not abuse of privileges. Courses rely on more than members to maintain the course and t…

Decent public course. Greens need some help but since I'm not in the PGA, really didn't bother us. Had a good time. Will be back.

What an absolutely FUN course to play. Open, forgiving, and scenic. This was the first time I had ever played this course and now I am wondering why. The staff was extremely friendly and professional, the regulars waiting for the first tee time were very cordial even to a stranger they could tell had never been there before, and the fairways and greens were in such good shape even for February. If I only had one criticism it would be that the bunkers were packed down instead of sandy but I only ended up in the beach twice so I can let that fact go a little. Although this course may be a little…

Wow, what a great experience at a local public golf course the staff was amazing in the clubhouse. A representative name David was very polite, courteous, and considerate, as well as patient as it was my first visit to this golf course. I actually paired up with two other golfers, who were very friendly and supportive, even though I did not know them, and it was my first visit.
