In summary

Mirror Lake Golf Club receives praise for its well-maintained courses, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. However, some members express dissatisfaction with the shift towards a more public model, citing issues such as overcrowded facilities, inadequate maintenance of amenities like the pool, and a perceived decline in member benefits. Additionally, there are concerns about the pace of play due to increased public access.

I’ve been a member here for years, but the 'semi-private' shift is becoming a hard. The biggest headache right now is the driving range. With only about 10-15 hitting stations, it’s impossible to find a spot to warm up because they are constantly occupied by GolfNow players. It is infuriating to pay monthly dues and show up for a tee time only to stand around waiting for a spot behind someone who just paid a one-time fee online. Management needs to rope off a dedicated section exclusively for members to ensure we actually have a place to warn up like the short game section left of the range. I…

We're on a golf trip. Traveled to the area and found this golf course. What a great course. It was well maintained. The greens were fast. Friendly service.

Spent a few rounds on both courses here and man what a place to play! Beautiful scenery, challaging holes, and a very pleasant staff. If you're looking for a new place to play a round definitely would give it a try. Both courses offer something different!

In the 7 years we have lived here and belonged to the club, they have never repaired the pool area where golfers and social club members love to cool down and congregate. Members have written letters and sent tons of pictures to the present management AND owner, yet he just doesn't seem to care at all. The colorless molded mushroom structure sits in the corner as a sun-bleached-white, dry, sad reminder of happier times when kids could play under it. We were all told its too expensive to fix, (or I guess even make it so its not an embarassing eye-sore), though we collectively pay hundreds of th…

As always the Course is in really great sharp. The greens were rolling about an 8. The Fairways were bare because of the rain but overall the we were very pleased with our round We had 28 guys for the day and paid 65.00 plus tax. The Counter Staff was patient with everyone checking in that day..

The membership experience is sub par. It's June 3rd and the pool is still not open (they claim its Memorial day to Labor day). The cart paths, courses, and bridges are all in terrible condition. They announce repairs every so often but they are unnoticeable and obviously trying to spend as little as possible to actually fix things properly. The food service is spotty - even when they say they will do dinner they don't. Bogus charges on our account many of the months we've been members here. I could go on and on. Hopefully they turn things around soon or will lose a significant chunk of member…

Started the day with a tasty club breakfast- service was very fast and friendly. Everyone in the clubhouse is extremely friendly and they are taking all the necessary COVID-19 protection steps. I played the Lake course today and it’s in great shape. The bunkers are on magnificent - they’ve done a lot of work in them this year and it really shows. Since the greens are Bermuda they’ve held up very well over the season and were running fast and true. There were a few wet areas in some of the fairways - not sure if it’s sprinkler issues or just all the rain we’ve had. They are using the upper dr…

This once private membership is now basically a public golf course. As a member, I feel as though "Golf Now" and tournament business is a higher priority for new ownership than ensuring a good member experience. Hoping this changes and would love the opportunity to be heard on the subject from someone that really cares about growing the membership.

I’ve been a member for about 15 years now and really enjoy playing in the club tournaments. I am very disappointed that the Hickory Nut tournament is not happening this year. One of the biggest things we have as members is the club tournaments. Hope no other tournaments gets cancelled this year

I have been a member of Mirror Lake/ Chapel Hill for over 20 years. I have always enjoyed the membership community. Our two clubs were purchased by a single proprietor about two years ago. While the new owner has made some investments in the course and improved alot of things that had been ignored by the previous owner, our once private golf club is now for all intents and purposes a public golf course. I went out today for a round of golf on a friday afternoon anticipating a quick round as the tee sheet was open when we looked in the morning. We were graced by two "golf now" groups in front…

The Course played great, the greens were fast and smooth. We had a great time other than the wind and cold.
