In summary

Moccasin Bend Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained greens, wide fairways, and scenic views, making it an ideal choice for beginner and intermediate golfers. The staff is frequently noted for their friendliness and the course offers good value with fair pricing and decent amenities, including a café with food and beverage options. Some visitors have mentioned issues with the sand traps, occasional busy times leading to a rushed experience, and restrictions on guest riders, which may require advance planning.

Fun course, wide open, scorable. Our Monteagle foursome played it for the first time, white tees, 6000 yards, group only lost a couple balls, played in 4 hours...Only issue are the sand traps, not maintained, unraked hard pan. This seems typical of many public courses, why not have fewer bunkers and maintain them?

I call this my "home" course because I live about 15 mins away. Its where I honed in my skills as beginner amd learned how to cpurse manage and club selection. Lots of wide open fairways and straight forward holes. Perfect for a beginner player. Water comes into play a couple times, the most being on hole 7 to the right and to the right on hole 13. The greens are fast but roll well. Hole 13 is very pretty with the mountain range in the background and river to the right. Good pace of play during the week, friendly staff, good beer and beverage options, and a pretty good chicken salad sandwich…

We had a fun quick morning round here before our show day. Close to downtown Chattanooga, budget friendly and an exceptionally welcoming staff made this a great stop on our #golfjam tour. We look forward to visiting again.

I've been playing here for a couple of years now. I like the course because it is very inexpensive, the fairways are extremely wide and forgiving and they work very hard to keep it in the best possible condition. Things to consider (not complaints just trying to help others set expectations): • It can get busy. I generally don't have to wait for more than 1 group in front of me and this has been rare. I usually play on Friday afternoons. • Frequently cart path only (sometimes even if it hasn't rained for a day or 2). The course is flat and an easy walk if it's not too hot. I used to get ticked…

Moccasin Bend is in excellent shape! We played here on a Friday morning and it was very busy! We had a tee time for 10:10 and tee’d off at exactly 10:10! The staff is welcoming and friendly!

Booked a tee time with 3 of my close friends and we brought along our wives as we do literally everywhere else I’ve ever played and the man in the pro shop was so unbelievably rude, told us he paired us with a single older woman and one of us had to ride in the golf cart with her and our wives had to leave or we could all leave and not play. I’ve never seen anything like this before in my 6 years of golfing at 25+ courses. Will for sure never be returning or recommending this place to anyone

I have played this golf course many times so I will give an honest review. First thing, price/course quality ratio. It is a pretty cheap course. Greens are typically in solid condition, only time they were not was when they aerated them, wish they wouldn't charge full price during the recovery time but it is what it is. Not a very difficult course, except for a couple holes. I am relatively new golfer (played about a year) and its a great spot for newbie golfers. Food/drink prices are pretty good, and they will give you a small cooler. Everyone that works inside (everyone except the ranger)…

I was in town for a conference and wanted to get a quick 9 holes in. The course was in good condition especially for the price. Service was good. The rental clubs were lackluster to say the best but I was also happy they gave them to us for free for 9 holes. The course is very wide open and we played 9 holes in about an hour and half so the pace was good too.
