In summary

Montague Golf Club is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained course set in a scenic landscape, offering a mix of challenging and forgiving holes. The friendly staff and recent improvements under new ownership have enhanced the overall experience, with many appreciating the value for money. However, some visitors note issues with course navigation, lack of tee box markers, and occasional delays in food service.

Played there in a tournament 2 weeks ago and had a great round. The course itself was in pretty good condition considering the drought. Good course for a novice golfer as there are only a few real challenging holes. Friendly staff and a nice facility. The only issue I had and why I gave it 4 stars is that the tee boxes are not marked, and on a couple of the holes it was kind of confusing as to which direction you were supposed to head.

Very nice course tucked into a beautiful landscape! Pin locations were really challenging during our round which was fun. We would've loved to have had some more direction on the course as it was our first visit. Thank you to the staff for a great day of golf!

Surprisingly pleasant course sort of hidden away in Randolph, Vermont. Well maintained greens, fairways and bunkers. The course was originally 9 holes with the back 9 added later, so the layout and feel of the front and back are very different. A bit on the short side, so long hitters won't be using their drivers on many holes. Pleasant staff. Modest pro shop. Gas carts with no GPS. Walkable course, but would recommend carts due to some of the terrain. My round was just under $50 with cart, so good value for the money.

My husband and 9 yo went to go play 9 holes. The new owners have hit a home run! This has always been a great course, but their experience was better than ever!

A bit hidden but, once you play it you'll be hooked. Course is always it wonderful shape.... No... Outstanding shape. Front 9 is challenging but fair and fun. Back nine you would think you all of a sudden are in Scotland on a typical link's course. The course is never boring. What can I say. Great course and a lot of fun and great people and staff. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

A fun course. I think the fairways by the river got wiped out in Hurricane Sandy, but they did a great job rebuilding them. I like that the course is not a par 3, and that there are some long holes. The greens are well maintained. The food at the club is good. Definitely a good course to play.

It had rained quit a bit and other courses in the area were cart path only. Montague was open, and carts were not restricted. Great layout. Both nines are definitely different. Would tell anyone in the area that wants to play a very nice course with a great staff, this is it. Great value for the money

Can't say enough good things. Super consistent greens and overall fantastic grounds keeping! Staff is working very hard and you can tell. Well worth a trip and they do appreciate the business which is rare. Support them it's worth it for all of us in my opinion.

Montague is under new ownership. Thank God! The new owners have invested much in improving the clubhouse and golf course. The biggest change though, is the service. Friendly and prompt. This is a big change from the past. Keep up the good work!

We played the front 9 and it was in good shape, as they were working on the back 9 from damage they received from the recent flooding. As for the food service, my wife ordered a chicken salad thinking it to be quick, 35 minutes later, still no salad, cancel the order.
