In summary

Montgomery Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained golf course, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere, with many members enjoying the social events and amenities such as the pool and clubhouse. However, some members have expressed concerns about rising dues, perceived declines in course conditions, and issues with customer service, particularly regarding inclusivity and communication. Despite these criticisms, the club is often considered a good value for golfers in the area.

I joined at the end of June and have enjoyed the club. Nice course layout/good conditions, friendly staff and other club members. Affordable option vs the choices in the area, golf-centric club (pool is nice, food is fine). Multiple golf groups that always want new players and not a problem for getting out with guests.

We've been members now for 2 months, but have been to the club house 6 times for meals and drinks so I feel we can leave a review. We became 'social' members which gives us access to the club house and pool, and we could not be happier (Despite not using the pool yet). The staff are kind and provide personable customer service every time we visit. The food is slightly above average, but priced reasonably and is delivered in a reasonable amount of time. The alcohol options are also very nice. My gripe, on the topic of price, is that the kids meals do not include beverages and the kids beverage…

The one thing keeping most of the members around is the golf course as for the money it used to be good value. But since dues have gone up and the departure of the long time Superintendent, the course conditions continue to get worse by the day. Today is Sunday of the Masters and the pin locations have not been changed in over 3 days, the greens are dying and there is no more first cut. It's absolutely pathetic that the management increases dues on their members but the experience and quality is getting to a point where members are beginning to look elsewhere for a better value -- what Montgom…

I've been here a few times over the years with a family member who belongs. It has always been set up very nicely and have plenty of space for the brunch set up and parties as well. Attended a Bat Mitzvah for my niece oer the weekend and there is enough room for the dance floor, DJ set up, tables for guests, dinner buffet style and a bar and photo booth in the side room. f

Saddened to say I experienced my first series of harassment/ racially motivated treatment at this country club. I am a new realtor in the area and have been visiting the country clubs to gain a sense of their community before deciding to grow belonging. On June 15th, (the post I uploaded ) stated there would be a ribbon cutting and contests from 10am-2pm. The posts did not clearly emphasize that it was a members only event to exclude those who have interests in joining. Among the first 10 minutes of me being on the property Valencia Lewis who unprofessionally and incorrectly identified hersel…

Been a member for 2 months now. What a great place. The golf course is in excellent condition the staff is friendly and efficient. The pool is maintained very well. They have done a very good job at committing to the social distancing and the virus complications. The restaurant and bar are exceptionally clean and the staff is just fantastic. My wife and I are very happy we joined.

We have been members for almost 30 years and we don't even play golf! This is an excellent place to bring your kids. Our girls were on Swim team until high school. People are friendly and we enjoy the pool. I've been in the Book Club there for about 10 years. I like the food and have brought numerous friends there for meals. It's a great family place to go. Fireworks are a must!

Witnessed a deeply troubling experience last weekend during my time at thee club that I feel compelled to share. During my visit, we witnessed first hand a guest being racially profiled by a staff member named Valencia. When confronted about her behavior, she lied and faked her name, adding insult to injury. It's incredibly disheartening to see such discrimination, especially in a place that should promote inclusivity and respect. I urge the management to address this issue seriously and ensure such incidents do not happen in the future. Discrimination has no place in any establishment, and I…

How can you advertise to the public through sponsored posts about joining and then be rude to people when they visit? I first found out about events online which were encouraging but then when I went in person the staff was unfriendly. I am now reading reviews and I am not the only one who experienced this. Stop encouraging people to come to this club if you have PREFERRED members. Don't make the mistake I did.

The ownership doesn’t put money into the club but raises dues on a yearly basis. Club leadership is non existent. Lack of staff makes the dinning experience dry frustrating. Golf course is usually in great shape but the superintendent of over 20 years left recently. Membership doesn’t have a voice. You will always get a corporate answer. Used to be a good value for a golf membership, but there are better clubs in the area where the value is better.
