In summary

Mount Pleasant Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained and challenging golf course, which features excellent greens and a layout that offers varied play options. The staff is consistently described as friendly and attentive, and the club provides solid amenities, including a practice facility and swimming lessons. While most experiences are positive, there are occasional criticisms about GPS navigation issues and isolated negative interactions with other golfers.

MPCC does everything right that a golf club should focus on. Well kept, fun course that you want to take on again after 18 holes. Simple clubhouse with a stocked bar and good food, friendly staff, and an impressive practice facility. My friend Greg (and host for the day) said MPCC has a simulator setup for winter practice too. The design may be shorter, but the layout and holes allow you to provide multiple answers to the question “how should I play this?”. This place is laid back (I think we were one of 5 groups on the course at 10am?), unassuming, and straight up fun. I wish there was a plac…

We go there for the swimming lessons. The lessons are excellent. We have noticed a significant improvement in our daughter swimming ability. The classes do fill up so it is best to sign up early.

We go there for the swimming lessons but are not members. The lessons are excellent. My daughter is 6 and has been doing it for a few years now. She loves the instructors. We have noticed a significant improvement in her swimming ability. The classes do fill up so it is best to sign up early.

We absolutely love the Country Club Pool. The lifeguards are always pleasant, attentive, and interact with the kids. The waitresses are friendly and prompt. The food is your basic American options. The menu at the pool is pretty small, but the food is always consistent and good.

I’m glad I’m not a member here, because I wouldn’t want to be associated with the golfers we met today. Drives up to 10 tee as we made the turn. After being confrontational about whether or not my guest group “cut them off” (which we didn’t), he and his group had the audacity to laugh at us when he asked where we were from (we told them midland on Sanford lake). They asked how we made out in the midland flood and he laughed while joking that our lakefront homes are now riverfront homes. Course was nice though. Last time I’ll ever play it.

If I had to pick between Bucks Run, Midland Country Club and Mount Pleasant Country Club to play everyday, I would pick MPCC. The tees are good, the fairways are great, the greens are better than any other bent grass greens I have played on in Michigan. It’s a small facility that focuses on the course, and if I planned on staying in Michigan I would be inquiring about a membership to MPCC. Pound for pound it’s one of the best tests of Golf I’ve had in Mid Michigan. Highly recommend!

Zorro (5) gets all the talk, but there are some tough tight holes on the back with OB lurking everywhere. I absolutely love this track though. Cliché, but keep it in the short grass and you will score.

We played right after a severe storm put 1" of rain on the ground. The course played okay and the greens were excellent. Definitely would play again.

Need to fix the GPS directions.. Not only did it make me go 20 miles out of my way. But when i got there it was some insurance company by the country club sign. I tried calling and no one answered.
