In summary

Mountain View Golf Club offers a picturesque setting with beautiful views and a course layout that provides both challenges and enjoyment for golfers of varying skill levels. Many visitors appreciate the friendly and attentive staff, as well as the well-maintained greens and enjoyable clubhouse atmosphere. However, some guests have reported issues with course maintenance, such as worn tee boxes and inconsistent fairway conditions, as well as concerns about slow pace of play and outdated amenities.

Played this course years ago and had a great experience....not the same here now. Where do I start? Tees are trashed. Little grass, lots of sand and uneven footing...lots of holes. Most fairways were green right down the middle. That grass was uncut and almost rough length. Grass 10 to 20 yards off center was dead and full of weed.....in fact the weeds were the only green in these areas and the ground was like hitting off concrete. The only playable surface on the course were the greens. We quit after 6 holes. 6 holes took 2 hours. Course is not marshalled. Painfully slow. Golf carts run r…

Course appeared to be in pristine shape. Nice views , tall trees. Some fairways will challenge your straight game. The clubhouse upstairs very nice place to relax. Great selection of drinks and food. Great place been around a long time for a reason. Also shout out to the drink cart server. Rebecca was another reason to go back. Such a friendly greeting from the minute she showed up.

Gorgeous view of mt hood! The staff was wonderful and very receptive to bringing my two pups to the deck while we enjoyed that view. Kylee made the best Cadillac margaritas 🍹. Wonderful people enjoying a wonderful day. I don't even golf!

I love the challenges this beautifully maintained course pose each time I play it. Just enough tight tree-lined launches off the tee boxes (#3, 4, 6 and 13), mixed with easy open fairways to keep things both interesting and enjoyable. I especially look forward to the twin challenge of the Par 5 #14 and #15 - do I swing "bombs away" or lay up short of the creek - especially on the downsloping left to right on 15? The creek is very narrow (4-5'), and if I don't quite carry, the right bounce can fly over it, so I'm probably always going for it in summer when the turf is hard! Oh, and let's not fo…

It's one of my favorite Golf courses! Hole #12, especially... comment below. I've only ran into this situation once or twice. But it was old club members. 5 to a group. But we didn't complain. And they didn't play the back 9. So a little patients goes a long ways. 😉 by the way I just played here today. 😂

I was fortunate to spend two days in a row at Mountain View. Day 1 was drizzling and wet. Day 2 was sunny and clear. Both were beautiful days. The course seems to play “friendly”. I did not lose the ball I started with for both days! There are some downsides. The loaner clubs are beat up. The Pro Shop has been working to get new sets. The golf carts; as a previous post mentioned, are in bad shape. Overall, an enjoyable and affordable course.

Played front 9 with my 10 yr old this morning and had a blast. Course is in great condition. Greens were excellent and everything was great. Wide fairways for everyone to enjoy but also some hazards around greens to challenge even the skilled players. Will definitely play again next vacay.

I first want to say, this is a beautiful course. Very diverse holes. But I had a very poor experience on a very hot day last week. The projected 100 degree day and my friends and I played 18. I had played this course a few weeks before and had seen the water fountains around the course. I went to fill up my refillable water bottle at two of them, and they were not on. I told the cart girl and asked for a bottle of water and she said that they were $2.50 per bottle. I explained that their drinking fountains were not working and she said the bottles of water were still $2.50. I was floored by th…

The course is cool but it needs some work. The tee boxes are absolutely trashed and are in desperate need of repair. Quite a few greens also weren’t looking so hot. There were some highlights through the round but definitely not the price they charge. $45 for 18, $20 for golf cart, $35 to RENT CLUBS for my buddy who is a lefty and it wasn’t even a full set (1 LPGA club, 1 Right handed club, 1 missing club). That’s an insane amount to charge. Game warden came around on the 17th hole to talk about pace of play which is pointless as the round is almost over at that point. I drove a long way to pl…

Used to be my local spot to hit after work. Last few times during the week there were like 12 to 15 teenagers teeing off rowdy as hell. Great, have a good time, but pace of play my guys. Not supposed to to. 25 minutes per hole. And the younger dude in the shop could give two poops. I might consider playing there again if marshals are out and if grownups are running things. Note, bar staff get 5 stars and are awesome!

Be prepared to call in and make a tee time for when you want getting a confirmation email the same day for said tee time. Then a couple days out get bumped for a group that made an "online" reservation. Pro shop was of no help and somewhat curt. Completely egregious, if I could give it no or negative stars I would.
