In summary

Myrtlewood Golf Club is generally praised for its well-maintained courses, scenic views along the Intracoastal Waterway, and friendly, efficient staff, making it a popular choice for both casual and serious golfers. The Pinehills and Palmetto courses are noted for their enjoyable layouts and good overall condition, although some visitors have experienced slow pace of play and occasional maintenance issues. While many appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and amenities, a few have reported dissatisfaction with customer service and organizational challenges.

This course was very nice, and not too difficult for my first time golfing. My golf course resume is, obviously, limited. But, the service was great, everyone treating me respectfully, and the grounds appeared very well kept. I do recommend this course to someone who is wanting to golf, but isn't quite at the Dunes level. 👍🏼

Myrtlewood Golf Club feels welcoming from the start—well-kept fairways, smooth greens, and a layout that’s enjoyable whether you’re a casual player or more serious about your game. The views along the Intracoastal Waterway add a relaxed, scenic vibe, and the pace of play is usually comfortable. It’s a solid, memorable round in the heart of Myrtle Beach without feeling overly touristy.

Not in very good shape. A lot of ground under repair. Pace of play is very poor and I’ve run into this situation a couple of times at this course. Ranger is nowhere to be found. 4 1/2 round through 13 holes. If you don’t mind 5 1/2 - 6 hour rounds play here. Much better conditions in the spring through early September.

Very pleasantly surprised by these two courses at myrtlewood. Both are very, very good and very enjoyable and very reasonably priced. I was surprised that it was in a good shape as they were. We use these courses as our first day of our golf trip to get warmed up and play something a little light. It did not disappoint and we had a lot of fun playing it. We intend to put it on the list of our first day play each trip going forward. Surprisingly well maintained and exceptionally fair and well-maintained greens too. Great job at myrtlewood

Beautiful golf course with an excellent pace of play and super friendly staff. We played on NYE day and the course was so green and dry with perfect greens to putt on. We love playing here!

Played the Palmetto course and the course is in great shape. From tee boxes to green. Greens are in immaculate condition. Don't let these bad reviews talk you out of playing this course. Bag Drop area is awesome. It spoils you having those guys take your bags and you do nothing. You guys are amazing, Thank you. Pro shop staff was helpful and professional in every way. Pro shop has an abundance of gear to purchase. Cart girl was a little on the scarce side. Saw her once sitting in her cart chatting with her coworker at the hot dog stand on hole 5. How about driving around and selling drinks.

We played both the Pinehills and Palmetto course on the same day. Pinehills was in much better shape than Palmetto, especially on the greens. I prefer the conditions of Pinehills but the layout of Palmetto. Greens were not rolling fast on either course. 18th on Palmetto is a wonderful finishing hole on the waterway, especially with the sun setting behind you.

Go here if you want scammed. Its a nice course but don’t purchase any of their bundles or range balls and beer combos. They will scam you and not give you compensation if their range is closed or they don’t have anyone working the shack. Do not waste your time. They are also unorganized, half their employees will tell you they have rain checks then make you wait just for the service desk to tell you they don’t do rain checks. “Wait until the rain clears but no rain checks.” Thats straight bs what course doesn’t give rain checks. On their site they say they do but theres always a fine print lma…

If you want a 6 hour golfing experience, then this is the place to go. It was amazing showing up early and getting out late, having to be stuck behind a random 6 person group (when did that exist), and taking an average of 15 mins per hole. It gets better. We called the range guy, and instead of him speeding up pace of play or even watching to see who is slowing down, he went directly to us and talked down on us stating "the pace of play is what it is.". If the employer is reading this it's the short white guy goatee with the one tattooed sleeve on his arm, very angry elf. Anyway, I counted 6…

PineHills is a beautiful course with great scenery and character. Very playable for the high handicap golfer, but it still offers enough challenges for even the most skilled golfers. I played the morning after an overnight storm blew through, and the course was still in excellent shape. The bunkers were full of water, but they dried throughout the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the pro shop had everything I could ask for. I was on vacation from IL and only had one day to play, and I’m glad I chose this course.
