In summary

New Ulm Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, friendly staff, and challenging layout, particularly the distinctive front and back nine. The club offers a cozy atmosphere with a diverse menu at the clubhouse, which many find appealing. However, some visitors have noted issues with food quality and overhanging branches on the course, suggesting room for improvement in these areas.

Sick of the classic New Ulm bar scene? Sick of the newer “club like” establishments that seem forced in New Ulm? Then head to the Country Club. A quieter scene with golfers in and out, but cozy for two at the bar or room for four or more at tables. Plenty of tap beers, full bar, and a surprisingly diverse menu. This day I was here to relax and get away with a friend for drinks—without the big city prices. And then the plenty of “Tee Shots” (appetizers), “Hit the Greens” (salads), and burgers and sandwiches. They also have pizza and quesadillas. However, pictured is a secret menu item—Duck Fa…

I had a great time DJ'n there for the Alliance Bank's Company Party. Great food and service by the staff. I also had the pleasure of meeting Tricia the banquet manager, she did a great job with everything I must add plus she did great as our bartender as well. I hope I have an opportunity to DJ there for any other events or weddings! Thanks

Raspberry fritter with duck fries beats any sandwich combo I've had in the Cities, Denver, or Chicago. Do yourself a favor and get a Schells to chase it down. Bar staff is very knowledgeable with great recommendations.

Beautiful course that seems to have all the obstacles a golfer would love. Sand traps, fountains and turkeys.....you read that right, turkeys (finding a turkey on this golf course is not a guaranteed occurrence and is subject to change!😁🤩).Not being a golfer, that is all I can say.

Played New Ulm CC for the first time this past weekend. Overall, the golf course was in pretty good shape, but they could stand to trim some overhanging branches in front of the back tees. A few of the holes are quirky, but it made for an interesting round. I would choose to play most other places before playing here again. The food in the restaurant wasn’t very good. I didn’t feel too great afterwards. My burger was way overcooked and the bun fell apart. My fiancé had the steak tacos, which she said weren’t very good.

This is THE place to eat in New Ulm. Great atmosphere, great service, friendly staff, and excellent food. The golf course is a tale of two different designs. Front nine was built in 1968 and a remodel done in 1998-mounding added with new tee boxes. The back nine is a classic built in 1928 with features of a Donald Ross/Seth Raynor design-some false fronts, undulating greens, and narrow fairways. Adjacent to Flandrau State Park overlooking the Cottonwood River. Highly recommended!

Up here visiting a friend and had an opportunity to play this course. Was in great shape, well manicured and taken care of. My first time here and the staff was very friendly and helpful, explained the layout of the course. Was challenging with the back 9 having different elevated greens. Didn't get a chance to try the food but from what I saw looked good and just a beautiful place overall. Would love to play this course again.

Course was in great shape. Good to see high school team out on the course. First round on any course is a learning curve. I'll be back, the staff were friendly, lots of parking.

Very fun course, staff was nice, clubhouse is very cozy, and a great price for 18. The course is split down the driveway, with a nice easy start on the flat front 9 to prepare you for the hilly back an forth back 9. Greens were well maintained, fairways played well. All in all great experience.

One of the better golf courses in the area. The back nine is much more challenging than the front, with quite a few nice holes. The food/banquet facility is surprisingly large and is an excellent local spot to host your event.
