In summary

Winthrop Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained 9-hole course, offering a challenging yet enjoyable experience with varied hole layouts and excellent greens. The staff is noted for their friendliness and helpful service, contributing to an overall positive atmosphere. While the course's compact size is appreciated for its maintenance and affordability, some visitors express a desire for a full 18-hole experience, and there are occasional concerns about service issues.

I played this 9 hole course on a very windy afternoon on the first day of July. Don't let its compact footprint fool you, its not an executive course, measuring nearly 3,000 yards. There are enough elevation changes to make it interesting and the course was in very good shape, especially the greens, in light of all the rain. Definitely worth the modest green fees.

A hidden gem in the rural area. Only thing I’d wish for is a full 18 but understand that is part of why it is such a great course and well kept. Perfect for the beginner golfer or occasional golfer and even challenging on some holes for the regular. Price is hard to beat and even with a cart. I highly recommend people to try this course out. I drive from 30 minutes to play it often.

The course is in as good condition as I have seen it. The staff was excellent last night. Not busy, not waiting for golfers in front or being pushed by golfers from behind. Great rates, very nice country course.

Very nice course just wish it was 18 instead of 9 holes

Had a blast, if only I was better at golf! Prices are perfect, even on a weekend it didn't gouge the wallet. The greens were a bit fast, but part of that can be blamed on the drought.

The course was a little wet in spots, but they all are because of all the snow we got this winter. Maintenance is doing a good job, should be a 5 in a couple of weeks.

Course was fine, was well maintained. However service was very poor, as we were not taken seriously and were told we couldn’t play 18. Won’t be coming back.

One of my favorite courses. Even though it's 30 miles from my home, I find myself golfing here more often than the handful of courses that are closer to home.
