I am not a local but for a public course it is in pretty good shape 9hole course. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Practice green in great shape and you can chip and putt. Course layout not super difficult but challenging and scenic. City should be supportive of this nice course as they run inner city youth/parent tournaments and the fees as very affordable. If I lived and worked here, this course could be a favorite for me to play and work out my rough areas of my game. Nice little bar with food as an added bonus. Great morning round of golf! Would highly recommend! From Boston with love!

Paid $15 to walk 9 on a Thursday morning, and it’s 5 stars for the price. There were a few others playing, but I never had to wait for anyone or had anyone waiting on me. Condition was better than expected.. above average for a public course. Greens rolled nice and had minimal ball marks. Fun course and nice staff. I look forward to playing it again when I’m back in Ithaca.

The course was nice even though it was my first time ever going to a course and playing. Mind you I didnt do to bad. The lady at the desk was very nice and so weren't the others that were playing. Golf cart was in good shape too.

Fantastic Course! The greens are in better shape than the private and semi private courses nearby. I was up for my son‘s graduation at Ithaca and we played a quick 18. The Pro and Starter were both very kind and they have a delicious grilled cheese sandwich in the restaurant where the woman in charge was very nice also. Unbelievable price for only $30 including the cart for each of us on a Saturday no less! Wish I had known about this course earlier and I would’ve come up and played more with my son while he was in college here. Enjoy!!

I came to this golf course thinking it’d be a chill spot for a beginner like me, affordable, low-key, maybe even a little forgiving. Instead, the moment I pulled into the parking lot, I was ambushed by a swarm of college bros who started roasting me like it was a ritual sacrifice. It was like middle school gym class all over again, except this time I was sober and old enough to rent a car. I walk in to book a tee time, and the employee, who looked like he’d been grown in a vat of Axe body spray, joined in on the verbal abuse. He handed me a golf cart that squealed like a dying rodent and smel…

The management at this location is a bit disgruntled and the least bit courteous to customers. They wouldn’t even consider offering me a rain check for not being able to finish even 1 hole on the entire course. Reason being, I am recovering from my second spine fusion in 4 years and wasn’t able to successfully walk and carry a full golf bag simultaneously. Regardless, it wasn’t a good enough reason for the gentlemen working there to even consider rescheduling. Especially considering I played at 7pm and wasn't able to rent a cart due to them having to be back in the clubhouse by 7:30pm.

The course is fun, well-maintained, and enjoyable. However, the grounds crew needs to learn some etiquette - I have had guys get extremely close to me, operate their equipment very close while I’m mid-stroke, and even a guy roll a green that I was putting on! It’s certainly a relaxed atmosphere and worth the price. I just wish the guys maintaining the course would give golfers more space.

Course layout not super troublesome however difficult and scenic. town ought to be collateral of this nice course as they run heart youth/parent tournaments and therefore the fees as terribly cheap. If I lived and worked here, this course may be a favorite on behalf of me to play and compute my rough areas of my game. Nice very little bar with food as another bonus. nice morning spherical of…

I tried to hit a bucket of balls, was open to join the club , and open to whatever it takes to participate in this so called inclusive golf club. I was met with resistance from a sad, balding man who judged me by my appearance. He suggested I play at other venues. Wow. I live in Ithaca. I have a cottage in Glenora on Seneca lake. I’m available for hire if you wanna replace this sad sack with someone with compassion and is able to stand in someone else’s shoes! I’m above naming who this person is. I’m sure know anyway! I’d like to play golf here

Known throughout Central New York for excellent greens and challenging shot-making. A public 9-hole course, fun for golfers of all ages and all abilities. Top players come from all over for the Newman Best Ball competition around July 4 every year. Well prepared and well manicured by a highly trained and experienced staff, Newman is a local favorite. Nestled beside Cayuga Lake the course has wonderful views of the surrounding hills. Very walkable and very welcoming.

It's a fun golf course run by some very friendly people. Nothing fancy, extremely flat, but a good place to work on your fundamentals on a Sunday afternoon.
