Excellent course and staff, we loved our first experience at Newport Country Club. Fairly priced, good food and drinks afterwards. Challenging layout even more playing from the Blues, there were very wet conditions due to historic rainfalls but the course management had the course playing well for conditions. We hope to be back in the future!

Spectacular view of the lake and hills! Fantastic french fries, great clam chowder...and it is open for lunch when many other nearby restaurants are closed. (Open to the public, golfing not required)

The biggest takeaways are that it's a fun/fair course, it's in excellent shape, AND has great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The greens roll true, and are pretty straightforward. All that changes when the wind whips up though. You'll want to brush up on your profanity. And I played in mid May, 2021, so they probably haven't seen too many rounds yet. But still. It's also very easy to walk as there aren't that many hills to hike. As for playing it, you can get away with a fade on most tee shots, but not all of them. The only hole that involves any trickeration of any sort would be…

A dream, a fantasy! Played 9 with my best gal, Cathy, riding shotgun, watching my ball and taking video. No one ahead or behind us; it seemed it was our private course and what condition. Felt as if we were walking in an arboretum! Pro Matt Hibbert was cordial and helpful while asking questions and buying apparel. Sure Matt will advise best times to play and sure will help with lessons 👍 😉.

A wonderful course in great condition. Greens are fast and true. The staff is first rate and really care about your golfing experience. Tyler suggested that I use the Taylor Made TP5 and he was so right. Lowered my handicap by playing a premium ball that holds the greens, thanks Tyler. In the Northeast Kingdom this is the best course and a must play!

Fun course, priced about the same as the other courses in the area. They have bar and grill with good food and excellent service. Prices are about what you would expect for a clubhouse bar. All in all I had a good time and would recommend this course to anyone.

Never had one hole where i wasnt waiting to play on another group and there wasn't at least one person waiting to play behind me, regardless of whether I tried jumping ahead of slow players or let quicker players play ahead of me. It was just nonstop people playing on top of each other. Regardless of how beautiful the course may be, it ruins the experience to constantly have people rushing your game. I have yet to have this happen at another golf course, and this was on a regular old Thursday. I don't know if it's the tee time booking or something but my worst golf experience so far.

Nice staff. Pretty good food, but that Jalapeño burger has not a bit of spice to it. Beautiful views on the deck.

Had there Hangar steak, (Not sure why they call it Hangar). But it was very good, had some what i thought was mini onion rings but i guess they were potatoes that were onion flavored. Anyway it was very good.

Very pretty area - the views are wonderful. The course was in great shape and most of the holes are scenic. The course is very challenging with some tough par 3s included.
