In summary

Normandie Golf Course is appreciated for its challenging layout, historic charm, and well-maintained greens, offering a rewarding experience for skilled players. However, visitors frequently note the need for improvements in areas such as fairways, bunkers, and cart paths, with some expressing concerns about staff interactions and course maintenance. Despite these issues, the course is considered a good value for its price, particularly for those seeking a strategic and demanding round of golf.

Hard course, great prices. Accessable to everyone - a true public course. Greenskeeper did a great job, considering the budget. Looking forward to playing after the long-awaited improvement projects. I will miss it in the meantime, and probably miss the low prices forever

Old course which needs some TLC. Very mature trees and challenging layout-felt like every hole was uphill, greens are on the small side and require precision. Tee boxes, parts of the fairways, cart paths, sand traps all are in rough shape. On most of the holes my tee would not go into the ground at the tee box because the ground is so hard. Traps show years of neglect-weeds, water pooling. Felt like I needed an off-road vehicle for a cart as the paths are cracked, bumpy, and in just plain bad shape. lots of garbage overflowing in the trash bins too. No yardage markers on the fairways and the s…

If you want to play at a 2 star course that thinks they’re a country club this is the place for you. The starter had a power trip and had an attitude with us because we weren’t 10 minutes early. Screamed at my teammate on the practice putting green right behind him. I would have understood but the play was unbelievably slow, 0 golf etiquette and the course was in decent shape at best. Tee boxes with almost no grass, bunkers like concrete. And don’t even get me started on the carts we got. If this sounds like how you want to spend your free time, this is the place for you.

Course was in pretty good shape compared to past few years. Greens are already in process of renovation; heavily sanded and kept a little long. It's obvious renovation is about to begin. Trees are marked for pruning and/or removal based upon condition. Really, really good layout. Course designed by same person who designed forest park, glen echo, and ruth park. Lots of risk reward scenarios. Looking forward to renovation. Course has great "bones," is adequately challenging for skilled players from back tees, and will be a great course again once remodel is complete.

The reviews for the corse are fair. I enjoyed the challenge of the course. The blind approaches are good to test. The greens are fantastic. The fairways were not bad. The cart patch’s are in disrepair. Tee boxes were hit or miss. The staff wasn’t super friendly but they were not cold. I’d play this course again especially for the money.

I have played here a several times over the years and generally the course is in decent shape. The course is lacking some maintenance, I know we have had a lot of of rain, and all of the courses have been affected. The greens were in tip top shape. The fairways and tee boxes are in need of some serious work. I get budgets and things can be a problem for courses. I went into the clubhouse just to inform a staff member that I thought that at almost$45 dollars was pretty steep for the conditions, but I was told it was prime time, which I know all weekend mornings are prime time. Then I got questio…

Course is in much better shape since it has dried out and the fairways and rough have been consistently mowed. Greens are excellent. Bunkers still need some maintenance. Staff is great. The course is an excellent value and always challenging.

The elderly gentleman which the “Marshall” flag was extremely rude. Almost hit our carts, drove past while we were swinging, and claimed he had told us to stay on the cart path or would “take our keys” which he had not done. For a place asking people to continue playing, he made us never want to come back. The greens are nice but the rest of the course is pretty rough. Not sure why they were so rude but we’ll go somewhere else next time as we clearly weren’t welcome.

If you want a challenge, more so than most courses in the area, this is the place to go. The people here are great, and prices are usually proper. I can usually break 80 easily at most courses in the St. Louis area, it's a bit tougher here to do so. They also have great tournaments all year. Highly recommend checking out. The course was built well over 100 years ago too, pretty cool.

For a course built in 1901, this is a gem for any golf enthusiast. With such an old course there will always be wear and tear. The golf experience is still exceptional and challenging with plenty of long holes that force you to play strategic. I would recommend anyone to give this course a try.

Went into the round not having high expectations for the course but it ended up being very fun to play. Definitely has an older feel to it but it was well maintained and despite the rain the greens were in good shape. After it rained a crew member was out right away working on the greens. Overall I had a great experience

Reasonable prices for a tee time. The staff could be a bit more friendlier. Me and my husband are learning to play golf and felt the staff kept pushing us to hurry up . I understand they were worried about possibly people behind us getting backed up but there is a better way to address that and not be so rude about it. That did affect our experience at the golf course.
