What People Say

In summary

North Fulton Golf Course offers a convenient location in the heart of Atlanta with scenic views and a layout that appeals to both beginners and experienced players. Many appreciate the affordable pricing and the accommodating staff, particularly for newcomers to the game. However, the course has faced significant maintenance challenges, including issues with irrigation and greens conditions, leading to mixed experiences among visitors. While some enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, others express frustration with the inconsistent upkeep and slow pace of play. The course is undergoing improvements, which may enhance future visits.

Before we came we read the reviews. Some don’t sound amazing and sadly it’s not the truth. We are beginners, and what we wanted was a course where we could take our time, play alone and enjoy our Sunday and enjoy trying to get better. This was EXACTLY what we got. We had a 1:30pm tee time which could be pretty busy for a Sunday. The man who was controlling the tee offs was amazing. We told him we were beginners and wanted to be alone and he truly listened to us and allowed us to be alone. We played a full 18 hole course without being held up or holding up anyone. He explained to us how the cou…

This course is in the heart of Atlanta city and has fantastic views of Atlanta downtown. But the course was poorly maintained, flooding in many spots and missing grasses on the green.

A fun course with thick grass offering a good hitting surface. A great place to work on the game for reasonable price. This course is in Atlanta staple has been around for decades. I’m pretty confident that it is owned by the city of Atlanta. The greens are thick and slow but offer a good experience. I highly recommend checking this out. After 5pm the cost is $20-30 to walk 18. ⭐️⭐️⭐️🇺🇸🐺

Read this before leaving your nasty comment: In the summer of 2025, the golf course superintendent passed away. Unfortunately, the team was not educated on keeping the course conditions up, and so it fell into disarray. There were 4 months without proper direction and a superintendent. In October 2025, the new superintendent was hired and started working immediately. The greens were burnt out, some completely dead. They were overseeded for the winter, and this helped some - still not perfect. Growing grass amidst a drought and end of season conditions is virtually impossible. An irrigation pip…

Prettiest City of Atlanta course I play. Great layout. Some maintenance issues with low spots and standing water, and also some greens and tee boxes don’t get enough sun to grow grass. Pace of play is slow when the weather is nice, but that’s because a lot of beginners play here. They used to have some rude staff here, but I haven’t seen them in a while. The crew that cleans the carts stays later than the other CofA courses, which people appreciate (tips). Playing here at sunset is my favorite way to end the day.

It’s astounding just how bad this place is, one of the busiest in the city with over 56,000 times per year — there’s really no excuse for the total lack of maintenance this course receives. It’s been months since the irrigation system went out and the green’s are still fried. So much wasted potential as this course could really be a top tier muni with a small amount of TLC. Tee- boxes are a nightmare, sand traps unkempt, and there’s no distinguishing between fairway and rough, as it’s all pretty overgrown and weedy. I mean, there’s really no upside to this course. Should be a $10 round. Instea…

How is it possible that this course is in such terrible shape? I get that it’s run by the city and I’m sure budgets are tight, but the sheer disregard for course maintenance is unbelievable. Every green was in dramatically different shape. One green would be completely scalped to dirt, while another would look like it had not been cut in months. I counted nearly 20 broken sprinklers that were creating a mess. Some of these sprinklers are just off the green and the pin would be cut right into a self made puddle. The 4th hole was 6in deep in sewage water. You literally have to walk through sewa…

I don’t have high standards for courses but this was the worst conditions of any course I have ever played. Greens hadn’t been mown in days and didn’t have grass in a lot of areas, weeds in every fairway.

I had a very disappointing experience at this course. The overall course conditions were extremely poor — the grass was overgrown, balls were getting lost in the fairway, and weeds were present everywhere, including on the greens. The greens themselves were brown, dried out, and unplayably fast. On top of that, the course staff made the round even less enjoyable. The Marshall was unprofessional and made rude, inappropriate comments to us and to other groups on the course. The layout was nice but the overall experience was terrible. I expected a much higher standard of both course maintenance a…

The absolute worst course conditions I've ever played on!!! This is a diamond in the rough, but they have to at least fix the greens, the T boxes are straight dirt with very little grass. I'll stay north and pay a little more.

Always enjoy playing here! It’s a fun track, especially for a municipal course. Course was in pretty good shape and spring had it looking real nice.

May 5,2023: Tough pin locations and difficult greens, but overall a good experience. Cool views and great price. The greens were a 6/10, fairways 6/10, bunkers 7/10, pace of play was 5+ hours with no Marshall in sight. No beer or food. Park down by the Chastain Park Gym or the gravel lot between the Gym and the Clubhouse. Street parking is also available.
