In summary

North Kent Golf Course is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions, well-maintained fairways, and welcoming staff. The amenities, including GPS-equipped carts and a vibrant clubhouse with live music and food options, add to the overall positive experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about slow pace of play and management of tee times, particularly during busy periods.

The newer owner has done so much to make this a great course. The club house facilities are fantastic and the course is in great shape. The greens are soft but fast and the fairways are very well manicured. It's hard to beat the value this course offers.

First time I ever played this course. Its in great shape and they ask a fair price. If you haven't played it in awhile, lots of improvements, it's a great option. Nice clubhouse and practice facility. Looks like they have a food Truck on site, did not experience that. On the weekend they are stacked up so plan on a 4.5-5 hour round.

I loved this golf course. It was challenging and fun. The golf carts are top notch with two coolers on both sides of cart , charger ports, and GPS with Information about distances from cart to the next destination. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I am giving North Kent a 5 star right now. I have played it several times this summer and it's in great shape. Greens and fairways are in really nice condition. They have GPS on the carts, which is always a nice feature. Prices are fair (I would love to see then on the Golf Now app, but they are not on it.) Pace of play is good. I have never had an issue with slow play. The carts do tell you if you are on pace. You can tell the owners of this course are putting a lot into the facility. North Kent is currently a real good value for your round of golf. Enjoy!

this course is one of the worst courses i’ve played in a long time. ever since the new ownership they decide to book multiple groups on top of eachother. i’m currently sitting on a tee box with (4) groups of 4 all waiting for a single par 3. this has been happening so much lately. TERRIBLE!

It was a hard laid out course. The greens were vertacut which made it hard to putt on! We played the front nine in about two hours but when we hit number ten tee box it was backed up.it took us about 3 hours. When we came off nine two foursomes jumped on ten and backed it up! Poor managment by the course instead of telling them to wait for an opening to tee off they let them go. I would play this course again but if they do something like that again i would not reccomend this course. That is the only reason i held back giving them a five star rating!

This very well could be the best public course value in Grand Rapids. The course conditions are as good as anything you can play. Firm, fast fairways. Perfect greens. Do yourself a favor and get some rounds in at North Kent!

Love this golf course! Great place to play and grab food and drinks after. Recently I notice that the club house has been a bit warmer than outside. I don’t know if the AC was shut off or if it’s getting repaired but hopefully the issue is fixed soon. The Friday night live music are the best!

There is only 8 minutes between tee times. This is the third time we've been so backed up on every tee. We played 9 holes & it took over 2 1/2 hours! Ridiculous. Four groups waiting on a par 3! Which backs up every other hole. It is such a shame because it is a very nice course but we will not be back. Not worth the aggravation of not being able to play ready golf.

We love NKGC. We live just down the road and come here often! When we retire next year, we will become members! The Friday night’s music on the deck has been awesome! But the best is Hailee and Brook behind the bar! There are so friendly and accommodating! One of the reasons why we keep coming back on Friday nights. Oh, the food trailer has amazing eats too! Thanks NKGC! We are forever fans!
