The most challenging greens I've tried to read in MN, the clock guide was challenging to try and decipher. Can't wait to play it a 2nd time, definitely a few holes where an iron off the tee takes trouble out of reach. Backdrop views of superior were breathtaking

PERPLEXED, I believe is the correct term for my first visit to Northland Country Club. Trust your feet and never your eyes on the greens was the advice that held the most weight by an employee. These greens are the most challenging in Minnesota, but are in perfect shape so if you guess right a putt could see the bottom of the cup. Jake, the superintendent, has this place looking immaculate even through a remodel back to its original design. It’d be a privilege to have the opportunity to play this course again. We played 18 holes on a Friday afternoon in the fall. Prior to starting the round, we received a brief education from the course superintendent about the style of the course's creator, Mr. Donald Ross. Optical illusions abound on the course: a few infinity greens with some holes playing longer than they appear while others played shorter. Putting requires an accurate read with a deft touch, even on a wet fall day that reminded us of rounds played along Oregon's Pacific Coast. The course's ranking by Golf Digest as one of Minnesota's best is well earned.

Always great food, never a wait. We were the only people in the entire restaurant for lunch. Can see the golf course easily from the patio or inside from most tables. High prices for small portions. Definitely Paying for the outside view. Not saying the food is lacking, it's not, but the interior could use some sprucing up/deep cleaning/updates.

I highly recommend Northland Country Club for your wedding. My son and his bride had a winter wedding with more than 200 guests. Since the ceremony and the reception were held inside, I had concerns about how the room flip would go. Would it be smooth or a hassle for our guests? The Northland staff were amazing, they flipped the room in record time, our guests hardly noticed. The food, from the appetizers to the main course to the late night pizza, was all delicious. I wish there was an option for more than 5 stars. We had our wedding at Northland and it was PERFECT! Dawn and her team were fantastic to work with, very accommodating to our ideas but also had a ton of ideas and experience to share with us. The building and grounds are gorgeous, the food is delicious! Not a single detail was missed the entire wedding. We got married on July 2, 2021 and it was everything I ever dreamed of! Dawn was amazing from the get-go! Dawn was so efficient, professional, and polite. Dawn had answers to questions we didn’t even know we had. She offered great suggestions, and always responded to emails/calls in less than 24 hours. I had a really great time at the Northland Country Club. The course was very tough, but it was in really great shape. Very fast! The staff was extremely friendly and I especially appreciated meeting Dave the Membership Director. The facilities are top notch and I enjoyed meeting some of the members. I look forward to my next trip back to Duluth!
