Northwood Hills Golf Course at Mille Lacs

Great place to spend the day for dads birthday! A bit pricey for our taste but for the memories we received it was well worth it. As first time golfers we did get lost a few times so some extra signs would be helpful for those who are new. The people were very kind and so were others golfing around. I will say the hot dogs are very good so make sure to stop by after to relax. overall great time

I recently had the pleasure of playing a round at this course in the Garrison area, and from start to finish, the experience was truly five-star. This hidden gem delivers challenging, fair golf backed by above average conditions and genuinely warm hospitality. The visit began with Emily, who is truly the MVP of the operation. She was welcoming, efficient, and clearly enthusiastic about the course. She checked me in swiftly, got me right out to the first tee, and even took the time to offer a couple of helpful tips on navigating the layout. Wow this place should be ashamed to take any money from anyone the geens were longer than the tee box or fairway had not been mowed in at least a week unplayable don't waste your money here go to Izatys cuyuna or milaca

Course was super fun to play! We had a group of 9 for a bachelor party and they were very accommodating. Drinks were cheap and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend and give this course a 11/10

Hidden gem, beautiful course carved/integrated out of the north woods!!! I say integrated because it has the feel of a course placed without upsetting the natural order of nature. Staff is wonderful, above and beyond helpful! Try it, you will be impressed

Played here in the summer, course was very wet and spotty grass. Fairways looked like roughs. The ranger came up and yelled at us on the first green, even though we waited on shots the majority of the day. We had two friends rent a cart and just drive between our groups, he thought they were playing (they weren't) and wouldn't listen when we tried to talk to him. Later we turn around and see him laughing it up with a 6 some of members. Would never recommend.

The course is very nice and I liked how much variety there was in the different holes with the altitude differences. The greens tees and fairways were also well kept. I was happy to be able to use my youth on course here. The staff was very nice and understanding and their food and drink in the pro shop was not over priced. Overall I was very happy with this course.

This course is very poorly maintained. The equipment used must be in terrible condition. The fairways are longer than most roughs. And mowed very uneven. A lot of areas that were missed by the mower entirely. The amount of standing water nearly everywhere on the course may be to blame. But everything I saw at this course was very sub standard. Staff was very nice though. No disrespect to them. Also very poorly marked.

Unreal experience. We came for a bachelor party, we left with a new guy’s weekend tradition. Chris, Emily, and their whole crew was so down to earth. They did everything they could to make our experience perfect and the course was stunning. We will always recommend twice over! We are looking so forward to next year!

I played Northwood Hills on a trip up north and absolutely enjoyed every hole, great course!
