Craguns Resort

Craguns is the best family-friendly resort in Minnesota. This was our 4th time there & rain or shine there is plenty to do. The indoor pool was immaculate, the food at every restaurant was delicious & even with the current Reno’s, everything is organized, clean & easy to find. We absolutely love the beach and with young children having the playground right on the beach is so nice. We recently went to Cragun's for the first time and absolutely loved it. There is just s much to do for everyone, a nice resort with lots of activities. The rooms were also rightly priced and have options of beautiful lake view. Some of the activities include Pickle ball, tennis, pool, bicycle rentals, water activities and boat rentals etc. The food options are limited, the pool side pizza and food were my favorite. The breakfast needs improvement. They have plenty of parking. Will definitely visit again. I would highly recommend it.

Great place if you like being active on vacation! Many options for activities no matter what day you stay. Staff at every place we visited was friendly and ready to assist if we needed. Bingo was a lot of fun at the golf course club house. Pool area was spacious but not overwhelming. Breakfast buffet was worth every penny. Rooms were cozy and clean. We rented a fish house as well, which was a lot of fun. Only caught 1 walleye but it was nice to be out with such little preparations. Will return to see this place in action during the summer months, for sure!

Working weddings at Cragun’s with Complete Weddings + Events has consistently been a smooth experience. From a DJ and operations standpoint, I really value how well the venue team communicates and supports the overall timeline. Cragen's is a wonderful place to let the kids run around and enjoy the pool. The poolside room is awesome and that is what we appreciate the most as if it gives the adults a ton of freedom to be able to relax. The breakfast buffet is always a plus and the staff are always very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are accommodating and clean and comfortable. We stay at Cragen's at least 2 to 3 times per year and although localour family celebrates birthdays there as well.

I've been going to Cragun's ever since my brother and I were just little kids, even as an almost 31 year old adult, I still love Cragun's. I usually go in the summer with my family, but this time I decided to take my fiancée for our three year anniversary. It was my first time going during the winter (beginning of Spring) and her first time overall. It's definitely not as fun as the summertime, but we had an amazing time. Filming weddings at Cragun’s with Complete Weddings + Events always feels cinematic from the very beginning. Every time I DJ at Cragun’s for Complete Weddings + Events, it feels like more than just a wedding, it feels like a full destination experience. The lake views create such an incredible backdrop, and once we transition into the reception space, the energy builds fast. It’s the kind of venue where guests are excited from the moment they arrive.

This is the best resort I've stayed at in the Brainerd area. The rooms are gorgeous and the food is great. They also have a world class golf course. Eric Peterson does a great job managing the resort.

Dario always smiled even though it was his first day. All the activities and marina staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were tasty and we looked forward to coming down to eat. I particularly loved the view of the morning sunrise. The hot tub was so helpful with my back ache. Even though we did not have enough snow to go snowmobile or cross-country ski, I feel that the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff made up for it and we still enjoyed our stay.

To start out all I can say is the staff at Cragun's is outstanding! The staff were very helpful any time we had a questions. We needed to arrive a day early due to weather and they were great about getting us an extra night. We stayed for four nights this winter in cabin 104. We are a family of four and there was plenty of room for all of us. We ate at the restaurant in the lodge one night and the food was good. The other meals we had we either made in the kitchen which was fully equipped or ate at restaurants in town. We rented snow shoes one day and the kids had a blast using them for the…

Never got my deposit back despite no smoking and having a clean room, I went to breakfast at 10:15 and 9:30 the other day it’s supposedly open from 8-11 and both days it was shut down, also the pool restaurant was never open. The humongous sports center has no equipment to use it, and the bartenders at the tiny restaurant have no personality, they will serve your drink and shine glasses in the meantime. Do not see myself coming again soon.
