In summary

Oak Hills Golf Course offers a layout that many find enjoyable and challenging, particularly for beginners, with its interesting holes and scenic setting. The staff and clubhouse atmosphere receive positive remarks for being welcoming and friendly. However, the course conditions are frequently criticized for poor maintenance, including overgrown fairways, unkempt greens, and problematic sand traps, which some feel do not justify the cost. Additionally, customer service experiences are mixed, with some encountering unhelpful or rude interactions.

Pretty bad course right now. Conditions were horrible. The course design is sporty and nice big greens and fun to play. Bar looks nice and the hospitality was good. Just needs a make over.

They don’t look after the golf course. Dandelions everywhere, so it’s impossible to find your ball. Plus, from the course not being maintained, I got home with multiple ticks on me. (I avoid long grass) the amount of dandelions was insane. $33 was not worth it for ONLY 9 holes. Nice scenery though

What a great course for beginners. Good looking hills, sandtraps, trees, water great fun. Also good for working on your game. I'll be back! Enjoyed another round, on the par 3's 43444 with 5566 lost 3 balls. Not easy, work your short game, great flag placements.(regulation) comes with a bar.

Went golfing here for years. Was a good place to fit in a couple of holes if you don’t mind the not-well kept course. I only used this place to get ready for the season. However, today the lady behind the bar must be overworked because she was not happy to see me after 6p. Was more interested in playing a dice game with other customers than addressing my needs. I asked her if I could buy in for golf with a pull cart and she told me it is getting late; the sun is going away. First, I know how long it takes to do nine holes and this is not the largest course. And if I couldn’t finish in time, oh…

If it wasn't for how much we were charged, I may have given this course maybe 2 stars. Absolute joke. Only thing keeping this place alive is the drunks that hang around the bar. I rarely leave reviews, but this was sad.

Yes, the reviews I read were absolutely true. My first (and last) visit to this course was with my husband and a family friend. I wasn’t even playing—just walking—yet I was still charged. The rude older man at the front desk mumbled something about “insurance reasons” instead of giving a real explanation. My husband has been coming here for over 20 years, and both he and our friend agreed the course is in terrible shape. The only reason this review isn’t zero stars is for the two adorable dogs and the very nice bartender. Everything else? Not worth a dime of what they charged.

I don’t like bashing local small businesses and that is not my intention with this review. However, if you take your golf game seriously, don’t play this course. I wouldn’t even recommend this course to beginners. The sand traps are actually “dirt” traps. I say that because sand was not added to them it’s just compacted dirt from excavation. They decided to places rakes outside of them too which is CRAZY work. The tee boxes are unlevel and trashed because they probably don’t move them. The fairways are more like first cut so and more clover than grass. The greens are the same and they need a l…

Horrible management and the course isn’t any better. It’s fine to run through 9 holes fast or go to the range but the workers are all angry drunks. Not worth my time and money

We had good experiences in the past with this golf course. However, when we went back today, we told the lady up front that there are 2 players and 1 walking. We were told and charged for 3 even there anre only 2 playing. We had have a walker in the past and never got charged. The lady was not nice at all and pretty rude, she seems like she doesn’t wanna be there at all. When we went back for a score card and a pencil, she asked “you don’t have one in your bag?” Obviously if we have one, then we won’t ask for it. Would not recommend anyone go there. The golf course doesn’t seem very nice and c…

Played the course with my daughter for Father’s Day. Worst golf course I’ve played in my 40 years of playing. No maintenance. Greens as well as the fairways and sand traps in terrible shape. Would never consider playing this course again. Dog patch.

Expected a better course and was disappointed but atmosphere fun. Starting with the plus, the atmosphere and the staff was the most of it....the clubhouse bar area was very friendly. I was looking to golf and was just not impressed at the quality. The course quality overall wasnt great. The tee boxes were not mowed well, the greens and putting had a lot of problems, the "fairways" weren't great, and water hazards just not cleaned up well. The range being max 200 yards was not ideal but then when the nets at the back were all tore up that range balls were all over the 6th "fairway" was kind of…

Most of the course was nice for a 3-4 par. Slightly skinny fairways are just challenging enough to be fun. Greens were covered with tree debris but were otherwise is good shape. Facilities are a bit run down, carts were dirty, not cleaned of garbage or sprayed down. Nice and fun course overall but needs attention to cleanliness.
