In summary

Grant Park Golf Club is widely appreciated for its beautiful and well-maintained course, featuring a layout that caters to both beginners and experienced golfers with its open fairways and strategic challenges. The staff is noted for their friendliness, and the course offers a nostalgic clubhouse experience. However, some visitors have experienced slow pace of play and occasional customer service issues, which can detract from the overall experience. Despite these concerns, the course remains a popular and affordable choice, particularly with its scenic setting near Lake Michigan.

Beautiful, friendly course that is relaxing and fun to play. We played the front nine on a Thursday at 10:10 (they have women's league til 10 that day). Decent pace of play and a fairly forgiving course! Not many bunkers and fairly open fairways with beautiful large trees and some hills/rolls. Old time clubhouse and pro shop has a nostalgic feel. Tee time was secured a week ahead by phone. We'll be back!

Very nice golf course, well maintained with wide fare ways. This course is wide but excellent for beginners or professionals. I enjoyed a great day on the course. Did the night golf too which was amazing. 100% would go back. I walked the course but you can rent a golf cart. Prices are fair.

Nice course. It has some nasty dog left course. It’s challenging and fun.

No course ranger around that I could see on a Saturday, group in front of us was so slow and smoking weed they seemingly had no idea what they were doing and spinning in circles looking for balls we just ended our 18 holes after 9 and went for ice cream. Not exactly family friendly place.

Great reasonably priced course! It’s not that long or challenging, but it is lots of fun!

Amazing course. Played a few weeks ago when it was still somewhat chilly, and I couldn't believe how good of condition the course was in. Only played 9 because I was still getting loose, but hope to go back many more times.

Id love to give this place a 4 star review. Very beautiful course, clean...pace of play is terrible. At times (several visits) there were 2 to 4 different groups waiting on a tee box.

Pretty decent county course. Medium pro shop and clubhouse. Mature hardwood in this course. Rates were not make for this course; use the MKE discount card. Lots of doglegs or terrain to work with. Greens rolled well but turned all over the place. Only slight downside is it wasn't a full 72 par but you still get to use all the clubs in the bag. A couple of the par 4s were short but you needed good ball control to get there.

We booked a tee time the night before. Showed up 15-20 minutes prior to tee time. Quick check in and pleasant employees. Waited our turn and was joined by two walkers. It was not a fast moving course on Sunday but it was not waiting either as there were a lot of groups of 4 ahead of us. Course was in good shape. Did not see the lake from the front nine.

Great course for the money - I was impressed by how well kept this course was, as it is owned by the city. Nice staff, and the pace of play was pretty decent. It is a short course with some driveable greens if you can drive the ball 240+. If I'm ever back in town, I'll definitely give this one another visit.
