Challenging, hilly course in great shape for early May. Restaurant/bar ladies were very friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to playing here again sometime.

It was a rainy rainy day. 16 of us got together to play a round of golf. My first contact was the pro shop. Very nice person with quick answers to all my inquiries. Then the restaurant. The bartender was pleasant. She seemed pleased when she learned we had 16 coming. The breakfast looked amazing. The course was in great shape but wet because of a lot of rain. Greens were recently punched but still good. After the round, we gathered in the in the restaurant. Burgers and service were amazing. I was surprised how many folks come to the course just to eat at the restaurant. Good food, service, and…

Late season golf at its best. The course is in great shape. Four tee boxes, one is woman friendly. Fun layout. Easy walk. Staff is great! Say hi to Merry.

One of my new favorite courses. What a fun and interesting course. It was my first time playing it and really want to play it again knowing where to it a few of those blind shots. Fairways, traps and greens where all in good shape. Greens where punched but still in really good shape.

I played Olde Barnstable in mid May 2023. The course was in good condition, with the greens having recovered from the spring aeration already. A few tee boxes and greens had some rough patches but overall conditioning is acceptable for the greens fee. The course design is … good, but it could be better. It’s very playable, with landing areas wider than it would seem from Google Maps. There’s a good mix of easy and hard holes, and you can’t just hit driver on every hole. Where the layout lacks a bit is in the par 3s (they’re all long and kinda similar, except for #2), and some of the par 4s th…

My 1st time at this course. I read some of the negative reviews and have to say I enjoyed this course. It was clean a well manicured, and the cart paths were intact. There were multiple portable potties available for the older folks. The course is challenging and there is a refreshment cart out on the course. I had breakfast and lunch at the club and both were very good, the staff are all very friendly and answered all my questions. I gave them a 5 star rating and shall return. The only thing I wish was it was a little pricey.

Very disappointing especially for the $100 greens fee. You would expect a nice greeting upon your arrival not a surly associate who seemed annoyed by our presence. The pace of play is a joke with no Marshalls regulating groups who are excessively slow. So in summary if you want to pay a hefty green fee, have an incredibly slow round and interact with rude people who could care less about your business then this is the right course for you!!

The course was in great shape & a fun layout. I was a 2-some & paired with a single & we had some laughs together. Unfortunately the course management underperformed in a major way. We were behind a 3-some that had exactly zero golf etiquette & never kept pace with the group ahead of them. They played out of 2 bags not 3, & constantly walked back & forth to their cart for who knows what reason. We called the ranger twice who then spoke with that group & exactly nothing changed, nothing. We had a very poor 5 hour round on an otherwise beautiful day. Get your act together Olde Barnie, or I’ll ne…

My pick as one of the best all around 18 hole Cape Course for mid to high handicappers. Very good walking course. Challenging but not overly penal. Layout is mostly visible, some lateral water and hazards. Conditions generally good to very good, greens usually very true and moderately fast. Play off season to avoid pricy green fees.

Nice, challenging course. Pace of play was good. Price is a little steep (paid $74 on a Tuesday morning). Greens were in great shape but a few of the fairways were a little rough. Would definitely play here again, would wait for off-season rates though. Only real complaint is the carts are painfully slow.

Course in decent shape, but over priced ($77 for 9 or 18 but it takes so long you end up leaving at 9 out of frustration), poorly managed and surly customer service. Pace of play for 9 was 2.5 hours- unacceptable and Marshall does nothing to move it along. Would never recommend with all the other choices in area- could be so much better if managed properly and not just taking advantage of the summer visitors
