In summary

Sandwich Hollows Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, well-maintained greens, and challenging, hilly layout, which offers a mix of approachable and difficult holes. However, many visitors express frustration with the slow pace of play, often citing overbooking and long wait times as significant drawbacks. While the course itself is generally considered enjoyable, some suggest improvements in management practices to enhance the overall experience.

All the reviews about slow play are true. We had a 12:30 tee time and teed of just short of one. 14 minutes a whole?..we waited 14 minutes a hole. Wait to tee off..wait in the fairway..on several hole we saw more than three groups..so..we finally get to the 18th tee( after having the group behind us join, I started playing the gold tees..didn't spend more than a minute looking for lost ball, anything inside of 3 feet was good all to speedup play) A fellow drives by in a cart telling us to pick up our balls and get back to the pro shop NOW!..my son who had set up to hit said huh?and was met with…

Friendly and welcoming staff. The greens were in great shape and rolled true, which made for an enjoyable round. The tee boxes were a bit beat up, but overall, it was a solid experience. I’d definitely come back!

I am from out of town but have played here quite a few times. It is a nice, laid back course. There are challenging holes and the course is generally quite hilly. Staff is always very friendly.

Everything I’ve read in the negative reviews are true. Over booking, long wait times. 10-15 minutes to hit a ball, wait. At one point there were 4 groups waiting at one hole. I suggest going early in the morning before the carts run out by noon. Suggest not going on the weekend or purchasing a membership. During the week the experience was pleasant. Good food and restaurant upstairs. They should take a note from the Hyannis/ old Barnstable course. Space out the t times, charge a little more $. No bathrooms on the course turns beaides the pro shop at 9-18. I’d wouldn’t play here for free o Sa…

If completely maintained, this competes well with any public course on the Cape. Surprisingly hilly, but had a mix of reachable par 4s (even for players not long off the tee) and more challenging holes. Watch out for several holes with blind shots! Cart paths need some work and the tee boxes on several holes were like concrete (played in late June). It seems owners are putting money into the course and alleviating some of the issues I mentioned.

Go here. If you’re in Falmouth and wanna play at Falmouth country club just don’t. Guy at desk with goatee was incredibly rude and condescending there. Anyways at hollows The woman on the phone who’s name started with an M? Was incredibly nice. Squeezed us in for a 2 player game and answered all of my questions.great end to the day with a good friend. Thank you sandwich hollows

Golf course was in rough shape. A lot of the tee boxes didn't have any grass on them. Every tee shot was a blind shot and the elevation changes were ridiculous there is much better choices for golf in the area. I played Bayberryhills the next day and it was only $10 more and in much better shape and a better layout. Not only that when you book it on Sandwich Hollows website you will get a $4.95 charge from golf now for the reservation. I called up golf now and told them I never used there service and they explained it to me.

I had booked a 3 some with a club rental, called back in to add a 4th player and they were able to add a 4th but forgot to include the club rental. We arrived on time and excited to golf. Stood waiting at the clubhouse for 5 minutes, employee clearly saw us and said nothing. When he finally acknowledged us and I asked about the rental he denied there ever was a rental booked and offered no solution besides “All the clubs are out” in a robotic tone with zero emotion or any useful advice for us whatsoever. I would have given 1 star but another gentleman with actual human emotion seemed nice and…

This is my favorite course. The town has kept it up since they bought it. A brilliant move if you ask me. It's beautiful and challenging. The greens speed are nice. They're not slow and not fast. All of them are in great condition. The staff are fantastic always looking to do their best to helpful. If you stay in the fairway you can score. If you not your penalized but have some room to scramble. The front nine are relatively flat. The back 9 are hilly and challenging but awesome in my opinion. The food there is really good. You'd be crazy not to play this public gem.

I was (still am somewhat) interested in the membership so I played it today for the first time. The course isn't very long so lots of fairway woods or irons off the tees leaving many short iron and wedge approach shots. Not necessarily a bad thing unless you prefer a longer course that lets you play all the clubs in your bag. Regardless it was still enjoyable. I liked the front nine better than the back nine but both were decent. The tee boxes were just OK. The fairways were pretty well maintained. The rough could use some work but wasn't terrible. The greens were recently aerated and understa…
