Palmer Golf Course

Our first visit to Alaska and we had to get in a round of golf. We had beautiful weather! Course was in amazing condition. We rented clubs and they were also in great condition. Only complaint is that we got balls with the clubs and so did the other twosome we were playing with. As balls were lost we were unable to keep the numbers different and determine which ball belonged to which player. Overall it was a great day of golf in a beautiful setting! Thank you to the grumpy guy in the pro shop for taking such good care of us!!

Course was in pretty good shape and the views were absolutely spectacular. Course itself is pretty open and not overly challenging but still fantastic views and fun watching the planes take off from the airport that borders the course.

It was my first time golfing and it's really a pretty place to do it! The setting is lovely and we enjoyed playing 9 holes then walking back. I don't have a lot to compare it to, but I'd like to come back and play more.

One of the most forgiving courses. Nice wide fairways, so a little hook won't hurt. But, if goes in the rough...bring alot of balls. I carry extra trash balls for the riverside shots because, I swear, there is a river vaccuum. LOL Overall one of my favorite local courses for a reasonable price.

The driving range is reasonably price. The attendant just gave us some irons when we asked-so not sure. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The course has gorgeous views and watching the parade of planes take off while playing makes this course a real adventure.

Palmer golf course is one of the premier golf courses in the state of Alaska I am so glad I can sit there and enjoy watching the kids go golfing. I cannot anymore

Nice links style public course. Great view of mountains and Glacier on clear day. Green fees fairly priced, although club rental is on the expensive side.

They host a great tournament. Alaska State Home Builders has an annual event, and despite the near constant rain, it was a GREAT day. Really wet, but little wind. The course is in great shape and staff were great.

Had a horrible experience here today and won’t be returning. We secured a tee time for four players, rented one set of clubs, carts and bought beer. Overall, spent a ton of money. The course marshal, for some reason, immediately honed in on our group and stalked and harassed us for the first 8 holes, complaining that we weren’t moving fast enough even though we were moving at a very quick pace. He then got loud and aggressive when I relented that we were moving at a perfectly fine pace and that we didn’t appreciate his demeanor. Awesome scenery on this course. Great snack bar at the 9th hole. Well maintained fairways, and they offer 1/2 price green fees in the evening. Only complaint is my cart broke down once. They did bring us a new one but it took 45min.

Buddy rented a set of clubs, it didn’t even have a driver! Then we were kicked out because of a noise complaint when he was on course to break 100 and yelled from excitement. Just unacceptable customer service. Also carts are outdated. Not coming back sadly because the course itself is ok but greens definitely need to be maintained, half of them are dog sheet.
