Settlers Bay Golf Course

Arguably the nicest golf course in Alaska. The management takes good care of the green and I love that its only a short distance from the house. People are generally friendly and laid back. Slow golfers are usually great about allowing more experienced golfers play through, although I am usually never in that kind of a hurry anyhow.

I’m gonna save you some time. Unless you’re interested in being chased by horse flies the size of a bird for your entire round. Riding in golf carts from 1980 with blown out suspensions and holes in the seats. Don’t bother. This course would be a 4/10 anywhere in the lower 48.

ATTENTION GOLFERS IN AN RV: three elect/wtr hookups available on site if you plan to play. For Alaska in early July the fairways were pretty well grown in and although the greens appeared to have been aerated about a week ago they weren't top dressed. Bumpy at this time of year but we had a good round. Generous fairways and greens. Good food at the clubhouse.

Beautiful golf course. The views are beautiful, the staff was friendly and they have the option to rent "premium" clubs which was great since I didn't have my gear with me. For any out of towners, the greens are super slow. This is definitely a must play course in Alaska.

We had perfect weather and the course was very beautiful. Had an issue with slow play but I made the best of it. Some stunning views. Overall high quality course!

Absolutely spectacular course given this is in mainland Alaska. Not sure they could do much more to keep the place pure given the variable weather. Walked as a solo in 3:45. Never even given a google review before but had to given my expectations of Alaskan golf.

Best greens in Alaska. Course was in great shape. Greens keeper been there almost 20 years and his work shows.

I have no complaints. This golf course was still coming out of its winter slump so it wasn't in its full green lush beauty. However, due to that and it being a little drizzly we had the course to ourselves for most of the day. It was wonderful. Also, if you don't golf the burgers at the restaurant are worth a trip. So relax and eat a burger while you enjoy the beauty of Settlers Bay Golf course and the Alaska mountains.

The hidden gem of the Mat-su valley. I just recently stumbled on this place and was blown away by the absolute beauty of this place. Also great for the family and have heard only good things about the restaurant.

Great course, huge greens and wide fairways but still challenging!

Front nine was a bit rough, three fairways under repair. Back nine was much drier. Greens in great shape.
