However, several guests report issues with course conditions, such as hard greens and wet bunkers, and express dissatisfaction with customer service, particularly citing rude interactions with staff and management. I reserved a tee time for Friday 3/6 at 10am. Showed up, was greeted by friendly staff members, paid and got the cart keys. Drove over to the starter, had a pleasant conversation and off we went. We played 9, stopped at the turn for some reasonably priced cheeseburgers and chips, then hit the back 9. Every person from the staff and all the other players we came across were really chill. No problems whatsoever and we can’t wait to play again. Thank you.

People at the front were extremely rude and unaccommodating. We had a tee time for 8am and were going to be a few minutes late so we called and told the pro shop. We showed up at 8:03 and she made us reschedule the tee time for 10am, which she did not say on the phone. The tee time for 10am was double booked and ended up having 7 people teeing off at that time. There was multiple groups of 6+ playing and even a group of 8. The group of 8 had one of the course Marshall’s playing with them and they were driving onto the green and not following the 90 degree rule. They also were blocking us from…

The absolute disrespect and attitude from the lady that we have continuously received is beyond me.i had an 8 am tee time and we walk into the pro shop at 8:03 after calling and letting them know we would be 3 minutes late she doesn’t greet us or try and help us instead ask us if we are aware that other people want to play as well. she then tells us if we want to play it has to be at 10 am. we reluctantly agreed and then sat in the car for 2 hours while we waited for the 10 am time, we ended up teeing off with 6 other people at 9:50 and eventually got behind a group of 7. these group of 7 work…

Good value. Greens were in good shape. Tee box good shape. Some fairways could use some work

Nice golf course. It is not as well maintained as it should be, but the course itself is great for your game. Ladies tees (red) have an advantage which is good and the color coding for tees is very clear. You can ride the golf cart to your ball except where prohibited which is clearly indicated. Better signage for those new to the course would be great, but overall the course is enjoyable. Some of the bridges need work, but the cart path is well maintained. Some of the ladies tee boxes were sandy, making it difficult for a steady tee. Pace was great, the views beautiful, and staff were cordial…

No problems with staff whatsoever and the hotdogs were good. Not bad for a public course during winter

This has to be one of my favorite places to visit when I travel for a round of golf with my husband. ⛳ This time was no exception. The airplanes are always fun to watch practice their take offs and touch downs. The big sky views are amazing and taking photo's of the views and wildlife are challenging. The only problem this time was the dead greens. There should have been a discount! We should have only paid half price. They are awful.

Was stuck behind a group of 7. Called the office and the Marshall came out and said we could play through. As going through the 7 group threatened and did hit into us. When the Marshall came back out he moved us up again but continued to let the 7 group stay which held up the entire course.

I had one of the worst golf experiences I’ve ever had at Pecan Lakes. My group paid for 9 holes with the understanding we could settle the balance if we decided to continue. We were enjoying our round and chose to keep playing, but by the 12th hole, we were stopped by a man named Ed who was not only rude but downright disrespectful. He aggressively demanded a receipt without even stating who he was. I guess he worked there? completely disregarded my respectful explanation that it was my first time at this course, and even after I apologized, he dismissed me and told us to leave and pay for the…

The golf course is very reasonable for the price, however the rude front desk lady makes this a 1 star review. This is a transcript of my call I just encountered. The call lasted a prompt 25 seconds. She answered with “pecan lakes.” No hi. I then asked what time do y’all close. She responded with “dark.” I asked “at what time do you think that would be?” She said “you’re gonna have to look that one up.” Wow. Then I said “do you have an estimated time, around 6:30?” She then said “sounds good to me.” I was baffled by this answer and sat in silence till she said “okay” and I hung up. Looking at…

Didn't golf but did have a most satisfying Sunday birthday lunch at the Cafe. The menu was what I would call southern comfort food. I had the grilled pork chops which were perfectly cooked with mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, Mexican corn and green beans. Each meal included salad, dessert and tea for under $18. Our server was very attentive and spot on with recommendations. The hamburger steak and stuffed pepper was also at the table and everyone was very pleased. It was worth the drive from Houston and will definitely be back as they have different specials each day.

If I had two more hands, I’d vote this place four thumbs down. The pro shop attendant, her name eludes me, is the most unfriendly, unaccommodating person. The last time we played, we got stiffed on rain checks. (Yes, I know how rain checks work.) I could go on and on about my prior experiences here. I’d rather throw my clubs in the pond than play here again. They do not care to serve customers. They do not care about anything. Seriously, go elsewhere. The course has potential but the humans are horrendous.
