What People Say

In summary

Pennsylvania Run Golf Course is appreciated for its scenic layout, family-owned atmosphere, and affordability, making it an appealing choice for golfers of all skill levels. Several visitors commend the friendly staff and the course's challenging design, particularly enjoying the back nine's water features and tree-lined fairways. However, some golfers express concerns about the course's maintenance, particularly the condition of the greens and fairways, and note issues with cart paths and pace of play.

Course was in really bad shape and had a guy golfing with his toddler with him and had he asked if wouldn't have been a big deal but he just drove few straight around us early on then we ended up catching up to him few holes later and he was incredibly rude and we weren't being hostile or rude we started to mention the situation in a light hearted manor as if we weren't sure what reason he did that for and he was just a jerk. Staff was nice.

Past 2 months course has looked amazing! Greens in great shape! Family owned and operated as well. Can’t beat the prices for the quality of the course A+++

Thank you for always being a fun course to play and putting quail chase in the dirt. I play this course weekly and would recommend coming here 1000000x before ever playing at quail chase. Again, thank you Penn run for always maintaining your course and caring about your players!

$57 for myself and son for nine holes. Fairways are dirt and the greens are the worst in the area.A friend described it has a goat ranch. All 9 holes were terrible. Funny they were cutting yesterday, I told my son their cutting dirt.Hope they figure it out!

By far the worst course I’ve ever played in Louisville. Cart paths are god awful, absolutely no fairways, weeds and creators on the green. Definitely not worth what they charge.

Greens and fairways are horrible. Not a decent spot on any of the 18 greens. Have been playing this course for 30 years. Have never seen it this bad.

This is a great family owned course. No wait on tee times, great course. Love to play here, can't beat the price.

It was ok. Carts need some updating. Fairways are comparable to some Louisville metro courses. Greens are in pretty good shape. Plays pretty tight. Feel like a little more love it would be very nice.

You can't really complain for the price. $25 for 18 with a cart is unheard of, even from Municipal courses. Penn Run may have some work to do on the quality of greens, but the relaxed vibe lends itself to a fun round of golf. As a beginner I appreciate being able to take my time and let groups play through as I learn this game. Have already played this course 4 times since January, and I will be back many more!

“Family run” probably need to pass it on then? Greens hadn’t been mowed today, $52 for 9 holes and a cart for two is steep at 5:00 pm when you have a mandate to have the cart back at 7:45. Sunset is around 9. Couldn’t even be bothered to give a twilight rate. I’d rather pay triple at a course with a cart that’s not falling apart and cart paths that are driveable. Worst cart paths I’ve seen in 25 years. Not sure why the course is still owned by someone that can’t manage it.

Love this golf course. It's in great shape and the greens are perfect. The back nine are challenging with hitting over water a few times. 36 bucks for 18 is a great deal.
