In summary

Quail Chase Golf Club receives mixed feedback from visitors. While some praise the course's layout, the quality of the greens, and the friendly staff, many express dissatisfaction with the condition of the fairways, which have led to several holes being converted into short par 3s. Additionally, there are concerns about the pace of play and the lack of communication regarding course conditions prior to booking.

Do not play this course. 8 of the 18 fairways were closed and they turned all of those holes into par 3’s, 2 of which are normally Par 5’s. They did all of this while still charging a full $46, and then not telling us about the course condition until AFTER swiping our credit cards. This is the worst golf course condition I have ever seen, and how they’re handling it is even worse. Forcing you to play 14 Par 3’s out of 18 holes, and paying full price for it. Not to mention the “tee boxes” that they created to make these Par 3’s had taller grass than the actual rough on the hole. DO NOT GO HERE.

Full price for a par three course. 11 fairways shut down which takes away several par 4s and 5s and turns them into 60 yard par 3s. On top of that, they don’t tell you they are having course issues until after you pay and refuse to give refunds. They should be shut down until they fix the fairways.

Edit: What happened? They spent a couple years getting the place in top shape only to let 1/3 of the fairways die? I don’t get it. Plus some of the best fairways were covered in thick grass clippings. Never seen that on a course. Lastly, the rough was US Open thick and tall. Not only did it make shots really difficult, it made finding balls hard. Some of the holes were awesome and all of the greens were in good shape. 7/23/2024 (Old review) We played the east course and it was in fantastic shape. We have not had a rain in a month but the fairways and greens were some of the best we have played…

Played Sunday, course was in great shape! Greens are awesome! everyone else in the city it seems lost their greens this summer but not Quail. Also, thanks for taking three weeks this summer and resprigging the fairways as they are now back and really nice!! Great place to play. I also love seeing all the wildlife.

Course was beautiful and staff was kind and professional. I cannot speak for the entire course as I only played 9 holes. I came in with low expectations per the previous reviews I read. They must have made some recent improvements because I was blown away by the quality of the greens and fairways. They have really put a lot of effort into maintaining the course. For reference I played the west 9. There is also an east and south 9. If I had to make one complaint, it would be the bunkers so just play better golf and stay out of them! Thanks for the good golf experience!

Every course has multiple holes turned into par 3s. Was told this in the clubhouse but not told that these holes have all their tee boxes in the rough. Upon reaching number 4 and seeing the condition of the course I called the clubhouse and asked for a refund or raincheck. Was told they are not doing those at this time. I played 3 holes walking for $20 on an incredibly unkempt golf course. I was on the south course. The other courses may be in better shape.

As others have shared, this course is in abysmal condition. Several holes are shut down, tees placed 100 yards from the hole, and the first cut hasn’t been cut so it is ankle high. They don’t tell you about the course conditions until after you’ve paid and won’t refund your money, they claim they are only this way for the week but grass can’t grow that fast.

The layout of this course would have been excellent, had the course been in good shape. This may be the worst taken care of course I’ve ever played. Do yourself a favor and choose any other Louisville metro area course. There is no benefit to hit the fairway here because there is no fairway grass. 10/10 would not recommend

Worst round of golf I have ever played. Played the south course and there were 6 mud fairways that are turned into 80 yard par 3s. On hole 5, our golf cart broke down and we had the club pro come push the cart back to the clubhouse. Absolutely unbelievable, just wanted to let yall know to not pay to play this mud field.

Course is in the worst condition I have ever seen it. Fairway is basically entirely craters, rough is 6-7 inches and full of clover flowers, so if you’re using a white ball, good luck finding it. It wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t still charging people $50, basically the price back when the course was privately owned and one of the most well maintained in the area. If you are reading this seriously consider going elsewhere. The crossings and penn run are in better condition for half of the price, and I’m not exaggerating. Until they either lower the price or fix the course and maintain it,…

Positive greens in good shape. Negative fair ways are in awful condition. booking tee times 10 minutes apart should not be allowed, left after 13 holes as we were, that took 4 hours to play just 13. waiting 10-15 minutes every hole to tee off. 3 to 4 groups on every hole, this is 100 % on them for over booking. I'll probably never go back here.

Sad to see what metro parks has not done to maintain this once nice course. Fairways are completely gone! Only positive were the greens are still in relatively good condition. Also, allowing only 10 minutes between tee times is not the best idea.
