In summary

Pine Crest Golf is frequently praised for its well-maintained and scenic course, offering a variety of challenging and forgiving holes that appeal to golfers of different skill levels. The staff is often described as friendly and accommodating, and the food, particularly the fish fry, receives high marks from visitors. However, some criticisms include occasional overbooking leading to slow pace of play and management issues, as well as high beverage prices and unexpected course maintenance during play.

Great stop for supper. We enjoyed our sandwich specials. Everyone here was very friendly. We stayed here in our rig overnight since they are a Harvest Host. It was a very peaceful spot to stay.

Golf course was decent. Prices were actually insane— $20 for two Bacardi and waters.. we golf in the area multiple times a week. I’ve never been charged even close to this.. even stupidly ordered a second round to make sure it wasn’t a mistake by the bartender.

One of my absolutely favorite courses! It's always beautiful here at Pine Crest Golf Course. Weekdays aren't terribly busy, so that's the time to hit the course. There's a wide variety to the holes from elevated par 3 to the long and unseeable part 5 on how 6. I honestly think I could golf here once a week if it wasn't 40 miles from home.

Very well kept, beautiful course. Long enough holes, but not too long and not too short. A nice variety of skill set holes overall a very nice course to golf and their food is amazing. Would definitely recommend.

I love this course. If it were a little closer to my home, I'd have a membership. I love to come out here mid-morning on a weekday. There's rarely a crowd, and it's so peaceful. There are some challenging holes, and some that are very forgiving- who doesn't need forgiveness sometimes? ;) The scenery is beautiful and the course is well maintained. The rates are reasonable and the woman that runs the bar/kitchen/pro shop/clubhouse is so sweet and kind even though she is very busy. I've been coming here for decades, it's been worth the trip every time.

Really nice 9 hole in a small town. Really liked this course. Greens were fast and mostly in great; a few had some burnout areas on the edges. Greens were also challenging. Clubhouse was small and friendly staff with no real pro shop or logo ball. Fairways were in great shape and everything cut well. The blind tee shot on number 6 and then the elevated tee par 3 on number 8 made for uniqueness. Rates were good for this course. Good off the beaten path stop.

The young entrepreneur that bought this course does a great job. Made the right hire at checkin also. Very friendly atmosphere in the clubhouse. Just as much a go to as Turtle back.

We have been searching for the best fish fry in Barron County and today we found it. We love golfing at Pine Crest but have never sat down to eat. Boy were we missing out. This is hands down the best fish fry around. The deep fried fish has a superb flavor blast to wake up you're taste buds to the happy dance. The quality of the fish is fantastic with every bite leaving you wanting more. We did have the baked as well and it was just as amazing. Stop in and enjoy the best fish around.

Excellent food, great service. Update 6/25/25: Nicole was awesome. There was 8 of us on a Wednesday night. She bartended and cooked. Was very personable and did a great job!

Over booked, very poorly managed, poor customer etiquette, and average at best course. Service, maintenance, and pace of the locals were the most disappointing. I purposefully booked a tee time with no one thirty minutes on either side of us. I checked the morning of if that was still the case and it was. When we arrived we were told that we had 45 minutes before the next tee time. After us and we could go 15 minutes early. We then had two groups waiting before we could even tee off. By hole three we had four groups in front of us and fice waiting behind us. The sudden overbooking and poor…
