In summary

Plantation Inn and Golf Resort is appreciated for its well-maintained golf course, Southern architecture, and beautiful natural setting, offering activities like kayaking and wildlife tours. However, visitors have noted issues with room cleanliness, outdated facilities, and inconsistent service, particularly in the dining areas. The resort is undergoing renovations, which some guests believe will enhance its potential once completed.

Just stayed at this "resort." And all I have to say, what a disappointment. A crack motel would have been better. While I understand they were hit by a storm two years ago the place still smells like a dirty wet rag. In addition the restaurant and the bar are still closed/under repairs, which was something they failed to mention when I called to book rooms. So I am at a resort with no amenities; basicaly just a room, no better than a crack motel room. And don't get me started with the reception staff... Rude, slow, not to mention their attitude was very unbecoming. It is very sad to see what t…

Nice, classic Florida layout with mature trees and a relaxed atmosphere. The greens were in sensational condition – smooth, fast, and very well maintained. Unfortunately, the fairways were very dry and mostly brown during our visit, which hurt the overall look and playability. Still an enjoyable and quiet round, but fairway conditions need improvement

The Plantation Inn has beautiful Southern architecture, and we were so glad to see that they are coming back after the hurricanes of 2024. Every room is being renovated, so our room was beautiful and it was very clean. There was a very strong smell of mold though, especially in the closets, they may want to check on that. We were disappointed that the breakfast closed pretty early (around 9am?) and there was no coffee. So for the price we paid, I would have expected at least coffee; and since there were so few guests, they couldn't leave the breakfast out for a time? Knowing that many of us ha…

Just played golf here for the first time yesterday 02/28, when I arrived I’m not gunna lie I was nervous by first looks. The hurricanes did some damage, some buildings are closed for Reno’s but the staff was amazing and extremely helpful of where to start NOW LET ME TALK ABOUT THE COURSE the tee boxes and the greens were honestly the best I’ve played so far this year honestly almost perfection, the grounds guys and what they’re doing to this course is gunna be big, and I’ll 100% keep returning for this well maintained course

Plantation Inn & Golf Resort was absolutely spectacular! The newly renovated rooms, stunning canal views, and incredible access to manatees while kayaking made our stay unforgettable. The breakfast each morning was the perfect touch. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Rooms were ok. The whole place is being renovated so it should be beautiful when it is completed. Right now, it's just an average location for the price...

Pool was really fun. I love that it’s shallow all the way, great for the kids and for relaxing. Kayaking was fun and the area is beautiful! The wildlife is prominent and the water is so cool to the touch. We loved the yard games with our son. Our room had the amenities we needed. Location is great and the downtown area is about 5 minutes down the way with great eateries and coffee shops! Negatives… The floors are filthy and a lot of this place needs updating or renovation. Getting food on sight is a lengthy process. There is no sense of urgency with the kitchen staff. Thankfully we did get a…

If it wasn’t for nature, this place would not have a leg to stand on. Thankfully, the location is absolutely stunning. The hotel however, is another story. It’s very old which normally I love, but it’s very dirty, there is different smells throughout each section of the property ranging from urine to mold. And I’m not being mean we really wanted this to be perfect. It’s our one year anniversary and this was our getaway for a couple days. The service is great. The food is mediocre. Besides the spinach, goat cheese salad it’s amazing. But we had to send food back multiple times because of it bei…

You can tell this place was really nice 20+ years ago. Now, not so much. Went up with family for scalloping. While the room was big, it was in disrepair. Ants/flys in all of the rooms. There is a consistent dirty diaper smell in some of the buildings we walked through to get to our room. The food we got at the restaurants on site tasted good, but was almost always cold by the time it was delivered to the table. Understaffed? Stay at the hampton across the street. I would imagine it’s much cleaner, definitely cheaper and free continental breakfast.

Went to swim with the manatees and it was a fantastic experience and we couldn't recommend highly enough. The room we booked to be close by for our early morning trip was not. To start, the room was far too expensive as were the on site drinks and dining especially for the quality we got in return. The maintenance of the grounds was great but the actual rooms had even the most basic things like multiple burnt out lightbulbs and broken furniture falling short of expectations. While the sheets were clean enough to our knowledge the attention to detail was not there and I wouldn't be surprised…

Rooms are terrifying, very beat up looking and painted over. The beds are actually not terrible they looked new in our room. The floor was like sticky and Sandy we wore our shoes the whole time. Water pressure was great. Honestly they need to shut down fix everything in the building and open back up, because this location and the grounds are beautiful! The scenery outside and the grounds were amazing! Lots to do around with an outside good vibes bar, games for families and the pool was decent. Surrounded by waterways it was perfect! The staff were so awesome as well! This could be the best res…

I'm sure this place was amazing years ago. Today, the amenities are nice, but the buildings and infrastructure are quite dated. Charming? ...Maybe. I didn't think so. The rooms have vinyl plank floors that are poorly installed. I stubbed my toe on one particular plank twice because it was sticking up. The coffee maker was at the back of the only drawer in the room where one could possibly put clothing making it difficult to fill with water the only electric outlets are on the window side of the room, so bring an extension cord because they don't provide one. The water pressure in the bathroo…
