Twisted Oaks Golf Club

Used to be one of my favorite courses to play as I grew up here. YOU COULD NOT PAY ME TO COME BACK. Can’t move because of golfers in front and constantly getting hit into. Seems as if they are trying to cram as many tee times in as possible. I’d rather play lakeside with dirt than this course with the finest grass in America.

Course was in great shape for the price. Play 18 holes right at four hours. Special shout out for the cart guy. I’m not sure if his name was John or Dan…. but turning in my Callaway rangefinder to the office, meant a lot to me hoping I got the tip I left in his bucket.

Why is it when we go to the 10th hole to start the back 9 there are groups that we haven’t seen on the front nine teeing off which starts slow play and a whole lot of waiting. There are no rangers on the course just the first tee box.. I experienced this twice so far. I’m not a member but they should not be any exception by starting on the 10th hole. Other than that, beautiful golf course to play.

I have watched golfers come out in the fog since 2021. The course is beautiful, the café has great snacks and refreshments and there's always a breeze.

Great layout. Conditions now are just okay due to dormant grass. Greens are true but very slow. The back nine is in better shape and much more interesting.

It is a nice layout. However some tee boxes are in bad shape, greens are inconsistent. Some fury, some fast, some slow. The greens held approach shots well. Bunkers could use some new sand. Overall golf course is average. I would say its a 50.00 course. Our group had a party after golf in the club house. We pre-ordered food to be ready once we finished our round. We appreciate the staff for staying late and accommodating our Christmas get together. The server/bartender was very friendly. However, the cook was rude and very angry. Don't book on their website. I booked a tee time on Saturday through their website and prepaid for golf. Looked at the weather and decided not to chance it with the potential storms. I called the Thursday before the tee time to cancel. After not seeing a refund come through I called the course Sunday and was informed prepaid tee time are non-refundable. The course still gets my money and probably backfilled my tee time I had. Quite annoyed and won't be playing here anymore since I'm out $100.

It makes me sad to write this review but after the last few rounds at this course it has to be done. I have played this course most of my adult life and I am disgusted with what is happening here. The greenskeeper here should be ashamed of themselves and should quit immediately. In the last year the conditions of this place have spiraled out of control. This used to be the go to course that was well kept all year round but sadly that is not the case now. My question for the management here is what happened? How can a course that was so well kept decline so rapidly? Today will be the last time…

Very nice course. It’s in good shape. Greens are nice!! Great Staff!!

Played for the first time here last week, with my dad. The course was in excellent shape, the greens were consistent, and played very well. Had a bite to eat afterwards and a beer. We will be back! 😎
