In summary

Pleasant Valley Golf & Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, enjoyable layout, and affordability, making it a popular choice for both casual and event-based visits. Many guests praise the course for its beauty and well-maintained greens, especially during the peak season. However, several visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the tee boxes and the lack of distinction between fairways and rough, suggesting that maintenance could be improved in certain areas.

I used to like this course but now it is a mess! The tee boxes have grass and weeds that go above your golf ball even when on a tee. The tee boxes are moved rediculously far forward. Some are the tee boxes are slanted or right by water where you can barely stand up straight. I understand fixing the tee boxes, but you should not be charging $62 for a much shorter course with the worst make shift tee boxes I’ve ever seen in my life…

We used pleasant valley for our wedding ceremony and reception. I worked with Danny and he went above and beyond for us. They have a few ceremony locations. We went with the gazebo area. We also worked with Danny and planned a sweet sixteen party for my daughter. She is amazing!

Was expecting way better for $62 a person to play. No difference of surfaces when playing in the middle of the fairway or in the rough. Grass was tall and very “rough” all the way around. Greens were super slow and very “furry” and tee boxes were nothing but crab grass. Wish I had read the reviews beforehand!!

This place is where I learned how to golf and is now my 2nd favorite course #1 is in Florida but is expensive but this is the stomping grounds for me and that will not change it is a very well maintained course when it is in the season

Do not waste your money on this course. There is no distinction between the rough and fairway. The green is like putting on a raggy carpet. The tee boxes are in terrible condition, like teeing off in the rough. Save your money and play a different course.

Went here for the first time and was a decent course hole wise but couldn’t distinguish the rough from the fairways. Would hit a dead center drive and lose your ball in the middle of the fairway grass was so tall. For the price would have expected a better manicured course might play again if i can catch it right after they mow

The green were soaked, even after 18 holes. Some of the greens were under repair and spots of reseeding and different patches of grass growing. The course was in bad shape. You couldn't get a tee in the ground on the t box but your ball was putting out rooster tails on the greens . They still charged us full fees and said the course was in great shape. Worse course I've played in along time

This place is an absolute hidden gem. It is well maintained. The staff are friendly and it is a really fun course to play. Is it perfect? Depends on how picky you are. If you like blasting one way out there this is the perfect place to do it.

Can't be beat for the price. Close to Baltimore and the subs, including northern DC area. Deals, tournaments, and beer sold. Nice little restaurant and walk out lunches, too. Restaurant and club house available for events.

Played 8/9/25 .....Tee boxes are terrible. Greens are terrible.....fairways and rough are the same. Paid $62 for the round. More like a $40 course.

Went out alone as a beginner to improve my game and pace. This course is beautiful and it is challenging at times but for the price it is well worth it.
