In summary

Plum Lake Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained, historic 9-hole course, offering a classic Northwoods golf experience with challenging greens and beautiful views. Visitors appreciate the course's unique layout and the attention to detail by the greenskeepers, making it a must-visit destination for many. While the course conditions and overall experience receive high marks, some visitors mention that the clubhouse service could be improved and note that the greens fees may be considered high for a 9-hole course.

There's a reason the term "Plumgusta" is thrown around. This is course is more religious experience than round of golf. I'd highly suggest going early in the morning or later afternoon to get the best experience. The conditions are perfect and the course is a challenge. If you're in position shooting under par is very possible. However, getting out of position even a few times can destroy your round. Those who appreciate quality greens and surrounds will fall quickly in love. I can't say enough quality things about plum and you'll have to judge for yourself

Classic old school Northwoods golf experience. My favorite 9-hole course. Preserved early 1900's design and well maintained. Great Golf Fun in the Great Northwoods.

Played Plum Lake for the first time on Monday, September 8. Have been coming to the Northwoods since the early 1970’s, but have never played this course. Since I have worked on the ground crew at Blackwolf Run in Kohler for the past 36 years, I think I know a good course when I see it. Check in was fast and efficient in a very nice clubhouse. Didn’t expect that. The course was in great shape, with lush fairways and roughs, nicely edged sand traps, tees that were recently aerified, and greens that were in excellent shape for this late in the season. The only fault I saw and felt were the uneven…

Went there with a bachelor party for three different tee times. The gentleman in the clubhouse was unhelpful and extremely rude. Made threats to kick us off the course before we even played and could barely tell us where the bar was. Everyone in the party agreed after the round that the course and carts were exceptional. The overall golf experience was great but unfortunately because of the subpar clubhouse interaction none of us will be returning. For such a pristine facility they should think about parting ways with golf shop management.

What a great 9 hole historic and beautiful course! In such great shape. Crater hole #4 and hole #9 are special treats. Brand new fast carts. Just a fun course in the north woods!

While only a 9 hole course, this was one of the best maintained and designed courses I've ever played. Greens were incredibly challenging while fairways were prestine. One of the best courses I've truly played. Will return on our yearly trip. Must stop by!

Plum Lake Golf Club is a very nice course! It is challenging yet not overwhelming. There are nine holes. You can play a round then go boating on one of several lakes in the area!

Beautiful experience. A golden age design that has retained all the charm. Greenskeepers have an eye for detail.

Course was in very good shape, greens are in excellent shape. Somewhat shorter but challenging course and decent variety on the 9 holes (7 par 4, 1 par 3, 1 par 5). Tree-lined fairways reward straight tee shots, green are challenging but true. Played blue tees which had a few tough placements requiring you to frame shots around trees (hole 8 in particular) but was enjoyable at a little less than 3,200 yards.
