In summary

Potsdam Town & Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, friendly and helpful staff, and welcoming atmosphere. The club offers a good value for money, with a layout that appeals to both beginners and experienced golfers. The setting is also appreciated for hosting events like weddings. Some reviews mention that certain areas, particularly the ninth hole, can be wet or swampy, but overall, the course conditions are considered excellent, especially given the time of year.

Just played a round here today 11 Apr and given the date the course was in good condition and playable. Greens were consistent and not slow. Fairways were as expected for Apr... Damp in spots, especially 9 fairway. Most tee boxes (white) were in decent shape and didn't effect my shot. Staff was friendly and other golfers were courteous. Value for dollar was excellent and for early Apr golf it was an enjoyable round.

Perfect location for our wedding and reception last September. The ceremony was held outside, appetizers were on the patio, and buffet dinner held inside in the recently remodeled dining room. Beautiful location for photos. Food was excellent. Jamie and the staff were attentive to details and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

My first time back in 50 years and time has been kind to the old course. It was nice to see the many upgrades to a place I played regularly while at Clarkson and I particularly enjoyed the new front nine. Course conditions were good considering the dry summer we had. The pro shop and bar staff were super friendly. The members obviously care about the club and take good care of it. Hopefully I will return before another 50 years pass!

I love playing at this course. Normally you won't have people crowding you and making you rush your game. The only reason this course is getting 4 stars is because hole 9 is always a swamp. The first 8 are amazing, 9 is like playing in a septic system. Do yourself a favor and skip to hole 10. The staff is super friendly and most of the golfers you run into nice. Just avoid hole 9.

Great golf course if you enjoy casual play. I go most weeks for their great price after 5pm. Even though this is a country club it is very welcoming to having the public come and play. The club house is nice but a little spartan. If you are looking to buy clothes or clubs probably better to look else where. If you are good at hitting the ball fairly straight you won't have a problem here, but if your ball goes far left or right then it is likely you will be searching the woods for some time finding it.

Being early, course is in nice shape. Golf carts allowed on cart path only but understandable with a few wet areas. Really like the flagsticks with laser assist for easy distance measure with laser range finder. Very accurate! Enjoyed my day there!

Played there today for the first time. Friendly, helpful staff from club house to greens keepers. Course in great shape (other than greens - being aerated). Lots of decisions on club selections, whether to lay up or go for it! The ‘special’ price for fees and cart was also attractive.

Really enjoy this place, staff are very friendly and helpful, and the course was in phenomenal shape for April. I have come down from Canada to golf there a number of times, well worth the drive.

Great place to play a challenging game of golf . A little wet this time of year but to be expected if you live here . Great staff for golf or restaurant.
