Railwood Golf Club

I have been going to this course since I was little but now I will not be going back. I was yelled at on the first few holes by a woman in her car on the road. I had no idea who she was, and she didn’t identity herself, just told me to get back on the path. There were no signs saying that I couldn’t pull off the path to look for my ball at this hole. The lady did not say she was the manager just yelled at me to get on the path and when I ignored her and said idk why she is stopping in traffic to yell at me she then said she is the manager and she would report me. Bought a round of golf and beer. After teeing off hole 1 a groundskeeper stops me and accuses me of not paying. Had to go back to the club house. Lady inside said it was a miscommunication. Hole 2 my cart breaks down so I call the clubhouse. Took 15 minutes to get a new cart out to me. Never been accused of stealing at a golf course before and treated so poorly. Will never go back.

This is my 8th season playing golf at Railwood, and I LOVE it!! Betsy (manager) & her staff are so great helping everyone, making sure everyone has a great time! The owner, Jim, is on the golf course 99% of the time, working his butt off making the course the very best it can be. Railwood holds leagues & tournaments 3-4 times a week, something for everyone! I personally play golf 3-5 times a week. For a great time give Railwood a try!!

Played this course yesterday and I have to say, this course is in great shape! The crew has been doing fantastic getting the greens back in shape. They have some of the best looking fairways around with some beautiful views from the ridgetops. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. If you have not played Railwood in a year or two you need to get back out, it is really looking and playing great!

Best course for the value you will find throughout Mid-MO. All golf courses have had a difficult time the last couple years at some point or other; however, Railwood staff have worked to fight Mother Nature religiously. Fairways are the best condition they have ever been and greens are rebounding wonderfully from harsh conditions last year. If you haven’t been lately, try it out.

Very happy playing at Railwood. Have been a green member for 12 years. Affordable! Scenic, every hole different. Have had some green issues in past but they worked hard to fix and gave us substantial discounts while under repair. Fairways are in great shape now. And great folks work there.

First off, I’m not normally want to leave reviews but I have left multiple reviews and every time they respond and twist the story. Instead of owning up to the behavior of the staff (specifically the women manager) they’d rather go back and forth with me. They have had multiple complaints about the staff and specifically this woman, and still choose to do nothing about it. My husband has played at this golf course numerous times in the past. Honestly course is getting better from last year and staff seems to be working on it every time I’m there. Clubhouse staff is very friendly and helpful/ accommodating! Very scenic views and some challenging holes. Just what you want as a golfer!⛳️😊

I’m not one to leave a review this is actually my first one, today was irritating, I’ve played this course for years and the staff has become less and less welcoming everytime. Tried to play a round this afternoon at 3, checked the forecast before we arrived and we had 3 hours to fit in 9 holes before the rain started. Old lady behind the counter made it clear we had to be done by 4 because rain was starting. She seemed more interested in getting home then selling one more round to maybe help rebuild the course (mind you every green has dirt/sand showing plus sand pits aren’t playable/non exis…

I’ve been a member at Railwood for approximately 5 years. Over this time period the course has improved year over year to the quality it is today. I’ve meet some great people over the years, it’s like one big happy family. We all know each other and banter a bit all in fun. The staff makes the family atmosphere fun, welcoming, and well organized to keep us all in line. I cannot say enough about the staff and all they do for us to make playing Railwood enjoyable and the quality course it is today. We all enjoy getting to know new players. Beautiful place, but unfortunately it is terribly ran. The manager needs a crash course on how to treat customers and her employees.

Been playing here for 5 or so years. The course is now probably in the best shape it's ever been in that time. Very affordable for any kind of golfer. Highly recommend.
